Kickette Catch Up: Weekend Gossip Cheat Sheet

Saturday
- Shaun Wright-Phillips and NFL player Chad Ochocinco are such good friends that they trade their autographed jerseys with one another. Who knew?
- Kevin Keegan quickly became our new favourite people after we read about his position on players’ privacy and the price of fame. The shortened version goes something like this: he tells Wayne Rooney & Co. that they’re not ‘victims’ of privacy invasion.
- Speaking of which, it looks like the Crouch/Clancy nuptials are full steam ahead with the pair said to wed in northern Italy next June. That’s post-baby delivery, for those who struggle to count their appendages accordingly. BTW, Clancy’s singing career may soon be taking off – her vocals feature on the track, “Pulse”, which can be heard on Orchestral Manoeuvres’ new album, History of Modern.
- We feel obligated to tell you that Bleaks and Lamps went on a date. We also feel obligated to disclose our feelings: meh...
Sunday
- Working tirelessly to aid David Beckham’s plight against Irma Nici’s threesome allegations, the ever-reliable News Of the World has joined the crusade against bra-less public appearances. Also, the NOTW caught a shirtless Becks talking back to a fan who made fun of the false reports on film.
- The first airing of Das Supertalent resulted in Sylvie van der Vaart being placed ‘in a hypnotic trance’. Good thing the producers have three additional years to fix all the opening-night jitters; the 32-year-old wife of Rafael van der Vaart recently signed a multi-million dollar contract with the RTL show that runs through 2013.
- Pato’s new girl, Miss Brasil Deborah Lyra, provided insight into his brief marriage to Sthefany Brito by saying, “This is a thing of the past. She has her career, and I wish Sthefany every bit of success…I’m sure she’ll be a great actress.” For those not in the Brazilian know, Sthefany has a long history of acting creds in her home country. Zing!
- Although it didn’t necessarily happen this weekend, we found the amount of makeup caked onto three normally lovely blondes a bit disconcerting – Alex Gerrard, Liz McClarnon, Alex’s BFF-and-front-row-companion, Kelly.
Im so sick of girls claiming to have affairs with players and getting paid when they have no proof! Where is the journalistic integrity??? Sue the crap out of her but even more so the people who published it. Maybe next time they will think twice about publishing rubbish like this again. Argh, so Frustrating!!!
Oh and seriously the Becks thing was only published here in Australia? Wow, its all over the tabloid mags here so i presumed the world was reading it too. HA guess there's a first time for everything!

This is random, but am I the only one that thinks the name "Sthefany" is an awesome name? And also the AlexanDRE spelling of the name Alexander. Random!
That said, am I the only one that hates Sylvie VDV? and I know I'm not the only one that hates Alex Gerrard…I still can't figure out why Stevie married her.

I'm so glad the Beckhams are taking that chick to the cleaners! Those lying tricks need to be put in their place! I'm sure there are many others like her and I wish the same could be done to them. Don't get me wrong I'm not defending cheating footballers, but I'm positive that in every 5 cheating scandals at least one is a lie.
