Kickette: The Predator Is Launched
Yup. He’s spotted her approach. Poor boy. Images: Getty Images/Zimbio
Unlike most of our footballing friends, we know how to operate a Twitter account without offending anyone. Most of the time. Indeed, it’s something of a secondary news outlet for us, allowing us to leak breaking gossip from the frontline. For example, if you don’t follow us, you may have missed out on our live reports from the launch of Adidas’ new Predator boot yesterday.
RvP looks on as a scuffle breaks out near the back of the room. Who might have been involved in that, we wonder, nonchalantly?
Yes, despite the sportswear manufacturers’ best efforts, a Kickette staff member was able to sneak into the Truman Brewery (oh, who are we kidding. She lives in there) in London and frighten the living daylights out of the likes of Nani, Kaka, Fernando Llorente (top) and Robin van Persie who were all present, correct and nervy in their matching outfits.
Prior to discovery, our woman on the inside was able to consume the required number of Jaffa Cakes to invoke her inner loony (thirty-two) and then set about unnerving Llorente, making false allegations about Robin van Persie and pursuing Jack Rodwell in the hope of catching him naked, shortly before she and her shopping trolley full of sweets were summarily banished from the event.
Sigh. We had such high hopes. More fool us, it seems.
