Kitted Out: Colour Them Bad?

What’s Wojciech upset about? Has he just realised that he will spend the next season dressed in pink, despite protesting in the most vociferous manner possible when the idea was mooted last time around?

Or is he just entering into the spirit of things now his colleagues have gone all emo for their new away shirt? To be fair, none of them look happy about it.

We’ll look forward to that one with interest. But in the meantime, it may surprise you to learn that pink n’purple are not the most shocking colours to appear on a kit release this week.

See the awkward, uncomfortable expression on Rodrigo Palacio’s face here? He’s right to be nervous. He could be set upon by a gang of angry Ultras at any moment.

A section of overly intense Inter Milan fans are seriously peeved that the players will be showing up to their away fixtures in a red shirt for the 2012/13 season. For those of you who don’t follow Italian football (you do know what you’re missing, don’t you?), Inter’s traditional colours are blue and black, while their arch city rivals AC Milan have dibs on the red.

Luckily, instead of taking their anger out on innocent players like Roddy, they’ve written to club prez Massimo Moratti to calmly explain exactly why they they will not be purchasing the new colour blocking option.

Good luck, boys n’girls. Cardiff fans tried that when the owners decided to swap up the club’s colour scheme from the traditional blue to red. Guess what colour they’ll be playing in next season?

omfg my team it's gonna play in red shirts! wtf
our colors always were black and blue, what the hell happened??

  2. Audrey says:

I guess I'm in the minority in liking the purple shirts? I think Szczesny's problem isn't so much the shirt as it is the shirt *and* the shorts *and* the socks… if he weren't head-to-toe in that color it wouldn't be so bad. It is a pretty unfortunate color.

Nuh uh Inter can't play in red! Red is our color! If AC Milan ever played in blue I would throw up and write a nasty letter to Silvio Berlusconi.

uuuggghhhhh. THIS is probably the real reason RvP is leaving us..

Jst wanna see how our season is gonna be with RVP gone I’m still kinda pissed at him he thinks some top club is gonna buy him(okay maybe they might). if he goes 2 barca he’ll be a sub 4 sure so yes follow cesc n we will see how good ur scoring record will be. Thank heavens arsene wenger n the board members didn’t lick his ass we are better off without him we made it work without fabregas, clichy n nasri n we will sure as hell make it with out him.

I know it's not the best choice of colour, but to be honest I think Szczęsny looks man enough to carry it off. :)

  13. Kate says:

I like it, to be honest.

But then I liked Juve's Away Kit last year…

  14. liz2 says:

Szczesny's kit is terrible. He really should just play naked.
Actually that applies to the entire Arsenal team/away kit
