Lazy Links & Randoms

This is why the off-season is dangerous to one’s mental health: the brilliant Studs-Up “The Wizard of Coz” comic series based on fancy pink football boots and the havoc they wreak.  Warning: contains Nicklas Bendtner as the Wicked Witch of the East, Fernando Torres as Glinda complete with pink… cotton candy(??) as shoulder pads.

- Chezza got paid a quarter of a mill for 30 minutes work. Don’t hate, appreciate.

- From the “which rep planted this story?” files: The Beckhams make-out in the cinema.

- Alex Gerrard isn’t hitting the gym while she’s on vacation with the family.

- Samuel Eto’o has diagonal abs. Impressive.

- Why Guti rules: he gets a yellow card when he’s not even on the pitch. Bad bout of PMT, maybe?

- Cesc, please don’t leave the PL! England need LOLs like this to survive. (But if you do go, would you mind sending over Gourcuff to help ease the loss?)

- John Terry’s ability to catch a beer can with one hand is kind of a turn on.

- Hot Germans in suits, in B&W. It’s all good.

- Can you ID this footballer’s house? It’s a stalker’s time to shine, so don’t be shy.

This isn’t really a big deal but for me it is, I’ve been to Port Aventura and I have sat on the rollercoaster that Cesc was on, exactly one seat behind the one he was in!! That is so cool, anyway, the house, I don’t think it’s somebody who has kids cos it doesn’t look too child-friendly

  2. DutchGooner says:

Am so over this cesc rumour…ive been going through some emotions since this story broke heres a breakdown of it
    stage 1 was denial
    stage 2 was anger
stage 3 was on the verge of tears/depression/chocolate time
    stage 4 angry/annoyed
    stage 5 whatever stage

Cesc and barca keep mentioning how that is his ‘childhood’ club we get it!! but ARSENAL made him into the player that he is today! People should remember that, but its seems like all our established players get tapped up by barca its not fair!!!! It’s whatever no PLAYER is bigger than a club, dont let the door knob hit you on the way out cesc!

    • MrsNesta says:

Well put DutchGooner I was feeling the same, but definitely agree NO PLAYER is bigger than the club and he's actually asked to leave so he should go. Think I would be more upset if Arsene left!

      • DutchGooner says:

Me too i really hope Arsene stays, and there is no point in Cesc staying if he doesnt want to like he stated, we dont want another Adebayor am just disapointed in his change of attitude really, one minute hes kissing the badge and pledging his future then nxt minute he wants to go back to Barca, its whatever i just want to see our new signings now :) .

    • Alisha says:

I was exactly the same, same stages too but now i’m kinda thinking he should just go cos he’s not going to be happy next season if he stays and he’ll end up like Adebayor :(

    1. Alex’s latest “column” should have had the following notices: “Sponsored by the Royal Mirage…Written by OK receptionist after 2 minute cell phone call from Alex Gerrard.” That’s the scary thing…Alex probably isn’t even capable of writing that drivel herself. She just blabs on the phone and someone at the magazine puts it in some semblance of order.

    2. It’s definitely not Steven Gerrard’s house. All the footballers are building/buying Georgian mansions so they’re sometimes difficult to differentiate them. Compare the windows closely…that’s usually where you can spot the differences.

    3. I like Kickette’s “round-up” of news. The collection of links is like a box of Forrest Gump chocolates…you never know what you’re gonna get. LOL

  4. liz says:

This is not a footballers house, believe it or not. The house is fab and has been viewed by a lot of footballers but they don’t own it. Jamie carraghers is around the corner and as far as i know no other liverpool player lives in that area.

  5. Jennifer says:

Cesc will be missed; its as simple as that. But if he wants to move on then there is no point holding onto him anymore.

  6. MrsYoann says:

Cesc. Sniff. That bitch should just leave now :@!!

But yes, only if Yoann joins Arsenal. Please. Pretty pleaseee!

    • Ana;) says:

Lol ohhh I agree great minds think alike if he's going to go he might aswell go now. It's like ripping off a bandage it's better to do it all in one go then ripping it off slowly, it's depressing to read about. :( Ohhh and yes please to yoann I need some comforting after cesc leaves lol

  7. Emma-Louise says:

Its Steven Gerrard's house…. my cousin done some work for him, and I popped round for a visit one day…. Deffo Steven Gerrard's house!

  8. Redgirl says:

No, it's not Stevie G's house; he lives at a different address (not stalking or anything, promise) and this is in an entirely different area. But yes, Alex's column is snooze-worthy indeed; it's sad really to see a woman without an identifiable brain cell. I hope for my Arsenal supporting friends' sake that Cesc stays but sadly I think he will go. Cesc and Villa to Barca next season, it seems. Even more reasons to watch for those of us who admire the skills of the little munchkins but find them a little light on the grrr factor.

    • Thea says:

I've never been a fan of her's … she is vacuious beyond belief, but if the nasty rumours are true I feel sorry for her. Either way when he stops playing she will cease to be relevent and no doubt head back form where she came from.

  9. Thea says:

Google Steven Gerrard's house – it's the same one! Trust me on this. Great new regarding Yoann, either Manchester or Londin works for me, just s train ride away when I am not working….

  10. Erin says:

That’s Stevie’s house. It’s featured in his “Year in the Life” DVD. Am 99% sure that’s it. I recognize the pool.

  11. tammyv says:

The Beckham story… yeah. the Hollywood Forever cemetery movie time is all outdoors. There is no theater, the movie is projected on the side of a building. Everyone sits on lawnchairs or blankets on the ground.

  12. Yasmin Marisa says:

Cesc, please don't go! *tears begin to fall* Barca don't need you as much as we do. *crying* Arsenal won't be the same without you to put on a bunny costume! *sobs uncontrollably* I think I may need a tissue. And maybe a sedative. And possibly some chocolate. With some Gourcuff on the side.

  13. C16 says:

Alex’s column is so bad… She made her fabulous life seem boring.
Wow, Chezza! I would like to have your job. lol

  14. Lora says:

    Hope Cesc will stay
    Alex column is boring zzzzzzzz
I’ve heard it is Carra’s house, but don’t know definetly through

  15. raley says:

The house is in Blundellsands. Gerrard lives in Formby. It's either Carra or Hyypia's house! :~)

  16. caitanya says:

The premiere league is overrated! Cesc, just come on back to españa. Better to be RM but i don't blame you for wanting to come back to the home front in general. I bet you're getting sick of the crap weather and food!

  17. rubyqueen says:

it's jamie carragher's house.i'm pretty sure i saw it on ontd.?? and being an arsenal fan myself i don't care if he goes..i'm sick to death of all the rumours and now it seem's that he want's to go.!!! so just do it..

  18. Ana;) says:

Awww cesc please don't let us down, being an arsenal fan has enough, withiut you it would be worse :( but I know you'll go ….. Ah I don't blame you. I agree with kickette bring gourcuff in then I need to be compensated

    • Ana;) says:

      * is hard enough

      * without you

      • Yasmin Marisa says:

You speak the truth. It's not easy being an Arsenal fan.

        • GoonerGal says:

          to. tal. ly.

They’re either gonna pay cold hard cash or some cash with a player. it’s either Yaya Traore, Ibra or Bojan (yesplease).

Bojan has been linked with a North London move for a while, cause he has Messi to compete against there. :|

          grr.

          • Ana;) says:

Lol I read that arsene what’s money and yaya but he doesn’t want to come to arsenal instead he seems to want to join his brother at city :o but I don’t know it might be rubbish lol awww cesc I’m so sad!

            • Ana;) says:

              *wants

damn me!! I need to stop typing fast apologies iPhone keyboards suck :(

  19. Hay says:

I'm pretty sure its Carra's house one of my friends lives next door :)

  20. Ella says:

Don't leave, Cesc! And Alex is just not easy to like. Her article is boring and borders on braggy.

  21. Inés says:

yeah! Cesc don't leave!!!!!! Barça doesn't need you, just stay!

  22. Mel says:

Is it Liverpool shirts on the wall by the pool table. My guess is Steven Gerrard, because of the horrible season, and rumors he's coming to Madrid. Yay!
