Leo Messi & Antonella Roccuzzo: Baby Thiago On The Way?

girlfriend WAG family from argentina messi junior jr baby bump barcelona babies bubbaThe Barcelona ‘baller wrote on his Facebook page yesterday that his entire family was flying into Barcelona fron Argentina and he was excited. Sport.es subsequently reported that Anto is going to have a C-section on Saturday the 20th.

However, this tuned in columnist says that Messi will play the match against Deportivo on Saturday and then Sunday he’ll be a dad.¬†Obvi his Facebook post sparked the rumour, so we can only wait and see what happens on Saturday or Sunday.

What we do know for certain is the couple is having a boy, and they’ve picked out the name Thiago. Of course, these dramas only occur when everyone at Kickette HQ is either on holiday, enroute to a holiday or thinking about a holiday. Such is life.

Anywho, if any new news surfaces between now and our weekend facials, we’ll be sure to ping you, Kickettes!

Thx EC!

I sure hope there is another reason for the c-section. Forget the scar but the pain and healing from having to cut through muscle etc. and then having to care for a newborn? Hopefully, her mom or someone will be there to help her out after the babies born. Friv 2

Best wishes for a complication free birth and a healthy mom & baby!

Anyone who has an elective caesarean is an idiot. I am not saying that is the case here and if its a medical reason then fair enough. However, too many women think its the easy option. Yes, having a baby hurts but in my most cases you are up and about in an hour or so. you can even go home after a few hours. A caesarean may be pain free during the birth but you are laid up for days and can’t drive for weeks. How is that the easy option? I just don’t get it. If you can’t handle the thought of child birth being painful you aren’t mature enough to have a kid. Don’t get me started on people who don’t even try to breast feed. Hit me with the red arrows!

  11. Isaac says:

Hum, don’t really get it. Isn’t Thiago Messi already born? That’s what I see on this story at least: http://www.gistmania.com/talk/topic,133612.0.html

I love this couple!they manage to be private and lovable @ the same time…nt like another certain barca couple……:)

  13. Martinrhein. says:

I don't know why women prefer C- section, after the operation they hv to endure a lot of pain.

    • kstarplayer22 says:

omg will u you be quite 1) you arnt her doctor so you dont know if she has any pre-exisitng conditions or if her passage is narrow and she cant push out a kid and secondly who care's how she has her kid, too many persons today concentrate on how the children are born and yet after dont raise them well or properly. stop hating and just hope she has a safe delivery and a healthy baby

    • Deb Stimson says:

Martin, I have to hope that she is having a C-section out of medical necessity. I know there are other woman who do it by choice but I have to think they regret it later once they see the scare and realize how much pain is involved after the surgery.

  14. Molly says:

…someone has to make up interesting rumours about Leo and Antonella because they are so boring…………..

    • Martinrhein. says:

That is true, they are very boring.

    • Anna says:

      Haters….

    • Kristina says:

On a football blog I guess anything that happens in Leo Messi's life is interesting. Having a kid can be many things but "boring" is not one of them. And who knows, twenty years from now maybe the Balon d'or winner will be Thiago Messi?

Ultimately, I don't think Messi and Anto gives a flying fuck what we all think about the way they live their lives.

  15. KRR says:

Actually, the rumors are that he's going to be rested on Saturday vs Deportivo (according to the latest press conference). Obvi the team knows something we can only speculate about…

  16. cupcakes says:

Good luck to them and their future baby who may one day end up at La Masia with Biel (supposedly!) Pique & Dylan Valdes.

P.S. I wonder if they're naming him after Thiago Motta – the Inter Milan midfielder Sergio "shot in the face" Busquets famously got sent off?

  17. OhDear says:

Wishing them the best of luck with the delivery and congratulations!

  18. Bella says:

You never know with the c-sections. She's so tiny and the picture above was taken almost 3 months ago, maybe this one is a medical decision – with the timing being a bonus.
And if I were a Messi family member in Argentina, taking a 12 hour flight to Barcelona, I'd make sure to get there in time to catch the match AND new baby!
They are such a sweet couple and Messi is so sweet about the baby, much luck and happiness to them.

  19. Kristina says:

Well, whenever it's going to happen I wish the couple all the luck and happiness! I guess they're choosing a planned c-section to ensure that Leo can be there as well. My best friend was supposed to have her baby three days ago, but still no sign of him wanting to come out. Exciting times, indeed!

    • Kristina says:

And I want to add that I love their choice of name.

    • Deb Stimson says:

I sure hope there is another reason for the c-section. Forget the scar but the pain and healing from having to cut through muscle etc. and then having to care for a newborn? Hopefully, her mom or someone will be there to help her out after the babies born.
