Lighting Up: Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard was the guest of honour in Esher, Surrey yesterday – his task was to switch on the Christmas lights, which he did whilst looking quite well, though we hate the undershirt. Our source tells us he managed to count down from ten successfully, sign a stack of stuff for people and leave.

Not terribly thrilling stuff, but after the icky story in the NOTW about baller exploits of late (John Terry’s drunken dancing makes us itch), we’re good with Frank and the Xmas Lights for now.

cheers J for the pics and braving the crowds!

i’m already feeling him better than magoo, lol!

  6. Yes it would be a good idea to post before the event not after it…. i had no idea that he’ll be here and i’d really love to see him.

Next time we will let the Kickettes know in advance of such events…! We only found out at the last minute ourselves, but should have posted… our bad and apologies to the Frank addicts out there.

I can’t believe I’m going to say this.. Frank looks hot in that first picture. Please forgive me, my Liverpool bbs. Lol.

Gawd, what is wrong with the England team? I feel sorry for them like ALL THE TIME now. :(

  9. carly says:

Yay, this is so much nicer…christmas lights, counting backwards (lol!), children asking for autographs…this is how it should be.

I’m not sure how I feel about the NOTW story. I mean how do you expect boys with big bank accounts to act? They’ve not done anything that college level (and older) guys here in the US haven’t done. Heck, I do believe I’ve behaved rather badly myself in the past (never quite THAT bad but then I didn’t have a big bank account in college). I guess I’m just sort of ‘meh’ about it. Though the having sex in a hallway is just icky – I mean least you could do is spring for a hotel room.

    you know whats the best part: NO ELEN!! I love the guy… no matter what! <img src="http://www.kickette.com/images/smileys/smile.gif" width="19" height="19" alt="smile" style="border:0;" />

And this is why I love this man! He is seriously lovely and sweet here and always. Love love love him!

  13. tammyv says:

I like the undershirt a lot; it is the button down that I hate.

oh, ballers being ballers, shocking I know: getting drunk; trying to get some action on the side; dancing badly; someone selling the pics and story… that is how it is done.

As for JT’s dancing, he is so white, he is clear,

Oh, Frankie- he is just heartwrenchingly beautiful! It’s the second pic that gets me- the one with the red and green lights in it. I’m practically swooning. And I’m glad to see him doing something ‘happy’, something in which there is no Elen pictured beside him, and something for which he is not being booed by boneheads. (I must just interject here that Frank was TOTAL class in the Derby game when the booing was just ridiculous. And when the Chelsea supporters sang ‘Super Frank’ as he left the pitch, I nearly cried I was so happy for him. God bless those fans! All the England players who were booed that day were class as well. I even felt sorry for Stevie and that hasn’t happened in a while, but he answered brilliantly.) As for the nightclub thing, I generally stick my fingers in my ears and sing ‘lalalalalala’, and deny that my lads can do any wrong. Ridiculous, perhaps, but true. I have no excuses to redeem myself on this one. I did watch the ‘dancing’ video, but I don’t honestly see much dancing and I definitely didn’t see anything that compares to running around on the pitch for 90 minutes, so I don’t see the big deal there. And Toni was with him, so I think his part in the whole thing was a bit overblown. Would I prefer that he was a good little boy all around? Sure. Okay, maybe. I do like the bad boys. Call it a character flaw or whatever, but there it is. All John would have to do is flash that unbelievably insanely adorable grin at me and all would be forgotten. Now as for the mystery player having sex in the hallway, that’s rather a bit too much, but as long it’s not John or Frank, then I’m honestly not too concerned with it. It’s a big world out there with lots of people doing lots of crazy things. There’s a song by a guy called John Gorka about not looking too closely at your heroes because they’re bound to let you down sometimes, and I think this is good advice when it comes to our footballers.

I hope nothing had to die so he could wear that jacket.

    Otherwise, looking good.

(And come on Kickette. You have to laugh at John’s running man dance!)

  16. The Fourth Official says:

This is disgusting. I don’t think I care to know anything about their personal lives at this point. I can’t believe that they don’t hold themselves up to some sort of standard, knowing that so people look up to them.

  17. brandy says:

I just read that NOTW story and I am appalled. These men are married or engaged, are public figures and role models. And they are adults. They obviously don’t deserve their stardom or their paychecks, or their place as representatives of their country.

They are selfish egotistical little boys who don’t care who they hurt. I truly pity their WAGs. No amount of money, shopping, traveling, jewelry etc could entice me into their miserable position. Your man acting so and seen by the ENTIRE world. For shame, seriously.

he looks absolutely amazing…i also am not bothered by the undershirt, i however don’t really like the inside of his jacket. The outside is nice, but i don’t like that fur look.
