Liverpool FC Bubbas: Beautiful, Baffling & Bogus

After losing to Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, Liverpool took advantage of the Blues’ commitments elsewhere to offer them a good old pounding last night. More importantly for us, this was the final home game of the season for ‘Pool, which meant the bubbas got their annual airing on the pitch.

Literally seconds of internet research failed to solve the mystery of whether these kids belong to Jonjo Shelvey, and whether the woman standing next to him is his partner. Kickettes? Get on it, would you?

Many players, including Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll and Sebastian Coates didn’t have babies to parade. Some of them improvised.

oh, this all makes me a bit misty. love seeing the club i love coming together as a family, that's such a major part of why i love liverpool. loved seeing some of our past players in the stands, as well (fowler and barnes). must say kudos to maxi, there's been so much talk of him leaving and if the rumors are true, his goodbye to the liverpool faithful was very classy and appreciated. also, that picture of coates and maxi is too great for words, though that picture of brad jones holding nico is just on a different level.
Loved seeing Brad and Dani with Nico. Can't imagine going on after losing a child, spoken as a mother of two. Makes you realize that indeed, life goes on.

Look at all the cute bebes! Liverpool played as the much better team yesterday and gave their fans a nice note to go out on at home. Was a fitting win to be followed by the appreciation/baby parade. Congrats to them on a deserved win.
Andy Carroll does have a baby girl…
OMG Brad Jones' adorable baby, just look at the size of those tiny feet, and the bitter sweet look on his dad's face. Gulp.

Awh nice way to take my mind away from the result, that picture of Maxi made me laugh! I just love this time of the season, bring on the baby parades!
I'm sure all of this made Brad Jones think about his little Luca, how very sad he couldn't be there with his daddy too.
I would say that's Jonjo's sister and her kids. He brought his little niece to the baby parade last year.
That is really adorably sweet of him. He gets a "good brother and uncle" prize.

I wonder why Carroll's daughter wasnt there!
My understanding is that Carroll and his baby mama are SERIOUSLY estranged. As in, rumour has it one of his arrests for assault was on her. She may not have felt like being cooperative re: getting the kid all the way to Liverpool so Carroll can use cute bubba pics to soften his public image.
I realize the above is totally slanted, but i have RAGE when it comes to men who beat up women, and am not capable of writing an objective post.

I agree Raincitygirl. Beating and cheating are the two things that anger me.
I'm quite shocked though, I knew they were seperated but I'm glad she's sensible and got out of there ASAP.
carroll has a daughter?
Carroll has a son and daughter with his ex girlfriend Faye who lives in Northumberland. Not sure if he see's the children or not.
Forgot to say his son is called Lucas and I think she was not far gone in the pregnancy when for whatever reason they broke up. I have seen a few pictures of his daughter through facebook, and she does look like Andy in the face.

I'm so happy for Brad Jones and his partner (I forget her name, unfortunately) as well. But it's kind of a sad-happy. It's awesome that they have little Nico and I'm sure he's incredibly precious to them. But it's such a damn shame Nico's big brother never got to meet him. Cancer sucks.
True that… what are the odds that the starting Liverpool keeper has a son in recent times by the same name? Brad Jones and his partner are fortunate to have Nico, though, and I am sure they appreciate every minute with him all the more. Bittersweet for certain, but they're dignified in their handling of it all.

The little girl JonJo is holding Lilly his niece, he brought her to the parade last year as well. Not sure about the other baby

These kids are adorable, but little Delfina is just,just, words can;t describe how cute that little girl is. Such a dady's girl. 
Well, after losing Luca in November, all I can say is that this pic of Brad and Nico made me teary… wishing all the best for him and his family.
