If you live outside of the UK, you may not be able to comprehend how the country is experiencing a record-breaking autumn. It’s warm, it’s relatively sunny and the economy hasn’t been disabled by six inches of snow.
This unseasonably tropical spell has failed to penetrate the Carrington area of Manchester, though, where both United and City have their training facilities.

Fortunately, the clubs were prepared for this meteorological anomaly, and have issued their players with ‘suitable’ chill-busting accessories.
United have gone with a beanie hat in neutral grey (embroidered numbers to avoid confusion), while Carlos Tevez appears to have used his unauthorised home visit recently to catch up on some snood production – David Silva has taken the liberty to personalise his wares with a little national flag. Nice!
What do you think, Kickettes? Do you enjoy seeing players express their individuality through winter woollies? Or have they all gone soft, like Scary Roy says?
