Manchester City: Fashion Kicks Charity Event
On Tuesday night Manchester City’s Shay Given and his wife Jane hosted their biennial fashion show and cancer charity fundraiser, Fashion Kicks. Westlife performed for the tipsy masses and several Manchester City stars took to the catwalk to strut their stuff in some finely tailored suits and some horrifically bad denim. The WAGs in attendance, however, did not disappoint us on the fashion front.
Jane Given and Jessica Lawlor (Stephen Ireland) took a traditional approach and wore long, bejeweled gowns. We’ve got to give two Louboutins up to Jane for rocking royal purple and showing off some killer abs with those trendy cut-outs. Yes, it’s Vegas meets showgirl, but it’s wonderfully WAGalicious. Jessica also receives two red soles for her pretty gray pleated dress.
Winona De Jong and Annemarie van der Sar brought a tad more style to the event. Onesie-lover Winona wore a Halston jumpsuit- not an easy feat, we might add – with a neon clutch and Annemarie went for a beautiful and flattering asymmetrical dress with a fun polka dot print and some seriously covetable strappy sandals.
Also, try to wipe this image of Carlos Tevez in neon from your brain. We dare you.
What are your thoughts, Kickettes? We’d say all efforts were vast improvements from the last City charity night out.

In my dictionary, Tevez is more swoon-worthy than Given, I have to say. Ew Given.

how lovely do the vds’ look, esp. annemarie! can’t say on the tevez matter…, but i seriously love those dresses, just not the jumpsuit, cause of the problems it causes, esp. when they are tight like hers

Kickette…have you started your weekend celebrations too early?? Your fashion picks are off the mark today. The Jane Given dress is hideous. Polyester purple? It looks cheap and tacky.
Happy to see AnneMarie VDS looking healthy.
But I'd fire the photographer for taking her photo in such bad lighting.
So, so happy to see Annemarie out and about. I'm really happy she and Edwin have been able to get through all their recent troubles!
To sum it up, I just have to say YIKES on all fronts. The only plus is the abs. Other than that, gag me.
