Manchester United: Charitable Offerings

Manchester United hosted their annual United for Unicef charity gala at Old Trafford last night. Any guesses as to what has got the Da Silva twins cracking up? They’re laughing with us not at us since we still can’t tell them apart, right? Or is it because we’re going to call them Fabael until they start wearing name tags?

All of the above probably.

Best behaviour was the secret password at last night’s fete as it was a relatively tame night. It doesn’t appear as though anyone had to be poured into their hired car at the end of the night and there wasn’t a WAG fashion faux pas to be seen. Mostly because Daniela Martins wasn’t there.

Nicky Pike, other half of Ashley Young, pulled out all the stops for her first major Manchester United event.

She wore a custom Philip Armstrong dress. It’s a bold move for a rookie WAG. It’s one that says “I’m here, girls. I will wear one-of-a-kind garments to your events. Recognize.” Fair play.

Lisa Carrick always looks smashing at these events, doesn’t she?

We thank Iker that someone wore a colour. Even better that it happens to be a lovely rich purple. And doesn’t the darker blond hair suit her nicely? Her accessories are lovely and perfectly styled too.

Sorry we’re gushing. We swear there’s no Baileys in our coffee today.

Kiko Macheda and Martina Minafra sure are tan. Family package at Top Tan perhaps?

Martina does look quite cute, doesn’t she? Her black strapless dress and coat are sophisticated and event appropriate.

We have spotted a bit of a boost in her chest region though. Has some help gone on? Or is it just a good bra? You make the call.

Several of the lads flew solo and the Rooneys were noticeably absent. Click here for a full gallery from the event. For your viewing pleasure here are Patrice and Sandra Evra, Ben Amos, Rio Ferdinand, and David de Gea.

You’re so cool! I do not think I’ve truly read anything like that before.
So wonderful to find someone with a few genuine thoughts on this issue.
Seriously.. thanks for starting this up. This site is something that is required on the web,
    someone with a little originality!

because I can never like the dresses of the WAGs can someone explain? In England they dress badly!

This wasn't a Christmas party for people saying it wasn't very fun. It's a charity gala, they can't dress up in fancy dress and bright costumes for UNICEF.

  4. mata says:

Were they told to all wear black? Depressing, especially for Christmas. Still, little pea looked yummy and De Gea's scarf was a nice touch. And SAF looked dapper in his bow tie.

aww those twins are too adorable!

Chicharito makes an entrance to the gala! He must be on the way to recovery! Hooray!
I'm liking De Gea's scarf. I'd wear it.
I'm thinking Fabio is on our left and Rafael is on the right…. but I'm just guessing.
I LOVE Lisa Carrick's dress. It looks great on her. Michael Carrick looks great too.
Jonny Evans looks like a little kid as usual…

I clicked on that link and who do I find only one Mark Wright, fresh from his Australian jungle escapades. I know this is a football blog and he is generally everything I do not like in a man all rolled up into one but wow, just wow. So hot.

By the way, I'm not liking that photo of Berba. Poor thing seems to have lost all of his continental va-va-voom so to speak :-(

  8. JA7 says:

I LOOOVE Lisa Carrick's dress!! Sooo hot!

  9. Agnes Wonka says:

They all look great but…..what were the Rooneys doing that they miss the party?

  10. littlemissfoggy says:

I'm not really a Rio Ferdinand fan but wow, he looks good there.

  11. HiL says:

    • MilaR says:

soo true, I wander what went on in there?

    • littlegreenpea says:

Well, yes, but surely you must think that Manchester United's gala was more formal… and better dressed…

      • Natalie says:

Yeah, i know, and Mr Ferdinand look very very good, like a GQ picture. But Man City took it to a bizarre level for Christmas party!

        • littlegreenpea says:

Oh. I was talking about Chicharito…. he's my one and only :)
Man City's party did look pretty awesome, though. I have a newfound respect for Kun Aguero after he came as Harry Potter.
