Midweek Links and Randoms

According to Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher, Sven Goran Eriksson was a weak coach but a master Casanova:

“Before one of his early World Cup qualifiers, a story broke about girls finding their way into the team hotel to provide some of the players with pre-match ‘entertainment’. Eriksson summoned us for what we expected to be a stern warning. Instead we received some fatherly advice.  ‘There’s no need to have girls in the team hotel,‘ Sven told us. ‘If you see someone you like, just get her phone number and arrange to go to her house after the game. Then we will have no problems’.“

Nope, no problems at all.

Coleen Rooney launches her new soon-to-be bestseller, looks lovely whilst doing so.

imageMichael Chopra and his wife look like they’re dealing with their recent marriage problems.  Michael is spending a week at the Sporting Chance clinic in Hampshire – which has also helped Adrian Mutu and Noel Whelan in the past – to get help with anger, relationship and gambling issues.

This is what happens when man-whores are allowed to roam free amongst us: The WAGs and wannabees surrounding them end up slagging each other off publicly (head to the comments section in the linked post), while Gabriel Agbonlahor carries on relatively unscathed, free to spread it around for another day.  Shouldn’t there be some sort of assistance program for man-hos and the women who love them?

David Bentley needs attention.  Won’t somebody give him some? Pretty please?

ROFL at Carly’s Sven impression! Effing hell, Sven is one big ol’ horny toad, isn’t he?

Has anyone read Carragher’s book? Any good? (And yes, I have been known to read and enjoy players’ autobiographies when they don’t play for United, so don’t act all surprised, ladies.)

David Bentley is a darling. I enjoy a mischievous sense of humour.

The Spoiler links are in meltdown, so I can’t comment on those, but sounds interesting.

Bentley…you're really annoying. Good on Chops for trying to sort things out with Heather. Hope all goes well for him.

I LOVE CARRA!!!!! Not only is he hot, but he says what he believes and doesn't give a toss what other people think! I cannot WAIT to read his book. His life story is already quite fascinating. Yes, I pre-ordered it from Amazon ages ago. Scouse god, he is. :)

The Gabriel Abonlawhore story really pisses me off BIGTIME.
I REALLY hope that his dick turns septic and drops off.

  10. Genevieve Gourcuff says:

Ooh Sven! And yeah Carra is hot… Coleen looks great and good on Chopra for trying to fix up his marriage! And David Bentley is extremely irritating…

  11. aristeia says:

Woo… took me a minute to get past Jamie's gorgeous face. That's quite a quote. If you read further at the Mirror's site there's another gem involving Jamie and a penalty kick. That one is a lot more disturbing to me than the groupie nonsense.

  12. AJ says:

Is it just me or is most of the above proof that a baller would be a good time but anything more that that, perhaps not worth the trouble? That account of Chopra's problems left out a whole lot of hoochie hunting done on his part. ;)

  13. Venice says:

    Lol, how cute of Bentley!

Its not out till the 8th TFO but there are extracts on 'the mirror' website, it looks to be quite contraversial in parts and funny in others. No doubt he's an honest bloke.

NOOOO! DONT SAY THAT!!! HE IS THE NEW MEXICAN COACH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! JUST DONT TELL ME THAT!

  17. lose that girl says:

No surprise the players are wondering what hit them with Capello! And now Sven is packed off to Mexico so I'm sure he'll be having plenty of siestas. I'm game for Col's book. I read her first one and it was a lot of fun. David Bentley annoys me to no end. I'd like to smack him in a non-sexual way. lose that girl blog

I don’t mind David Bentley too much. That’s a funny video. Great sense of humor!

  19. boo says:
