LMAO Lamps actually looks like he's about to cry!

  3. Amrit says:

To be honest, Puyi sin camiseta adds more edge…Any questions, just take a looksie at his torso… He definitely is a sight for sore eyes (in both ways, since he was MIA all this time)! :D

  4. teresamunoz91 says:

Marcelo, a thug?? What about the player who tackled Cristiano, and didn't get a yellow card, even though Cristiano ended up having to get stitches?

  5. Jen says:

Wow, Kickette, no mention of the beastly/uber-hot Aleks Kolarov playing through the match after breaking his nose and having it reset? Or at least when the camera showed him changing his shirt pitchside? Yiiii! I definitely had a smile on my face for at least 20 minutes after that. Oh man, I'm getting flustered again just thinking about it! As if I needed more reason to wanna have his babies (too bad I think he's already married)!

  6. Jackie says:

Will you be covering SSC Napoli more now that they are in Champions League? I’d love to see more Lavezzi and pretty much the whole team lol.

  7. littlegreenpea says:

robin van persie… from this angle, that looks really painfull…chicharito looks adorable as always…overall I was indifferent this week…nothing out of the ordinary.

  8. lone says:

The Bayern de Munich ? Villareal 0 X 2 Bayern de Munich !

  9. Agnes Wonka says:

draws draws draws…the only team who did it right was RM!

  10. RealFan7 says:

I love the evolution picture because god definitely perfected the species when he molded Cristiano!

  11. xoWinnie says:

Chelsea vs. Leverkusen: YAY CHELSEA! <3
Borussia vs. Arsenal: face meet palm. so disappointing.
    Barcelona vs. Milan: LOLOL…no comment.
Benfica vs. United: YES BENFICA! i was pleasantly surprise. i was dreading a big Utd win.
Real vs. Zagreb: i expected an easier game for my boys but i was pleased with the result nonetheless!
Dinamo played a tough defensive game, and had good chances, their goalie is stupid good!
oh well, better luck next time (but not really)

you also forgot to mention that Inter los their game Kickette…that along with the act that their season has started horribly in Serie A is enough to me grin like a jackass-in-a-box.

    • Raven says:

I'm gonna wish Dinamo good luck and mean it. Any team that makes Cris sulk ("they envy me because I'm rich, handsome and a great player" lol), and exposes Marcelo as a thug deserves an " Hooray!".

      • Sarah, Madrid says:

I know yeah, right Kelava is sickeningly good and he has some serious good 'positioning', I was so pissed, there was a point in the game where Ramos got injured, he literally sat on him and I was sooo jealous.

      • xoWinnie says:

well i'll take that to mean you're not a Real fan and move along lol

        • Raven says:

I don't have much against RM really. It's just that they have gotten a bit thuggish lately. And they have Mou. And now Cris with his Mouesque whining… It's piling up.

          • xoWinnie says:

i don't think playing aggressively necessarily means they've gotten "thuggish" or what have you.
and i don't think Crisitiano's opinion of things necessarily means he's whining.
he seldom criticizes other teams, like other Liga players we know.
he has the right to be upset with his team when they f*ck up.

            • Raven says:

To me there is a big difference between criticising and whining, as it is between being agressive and being a thug. Cristiano didnt like being whistled at because he is a “great player”. According to himself. I find that a bit childish. And the crowd chanted Messi. He could not take that.

            • Raven says:

To me there's a big difference between having opinions (positive or negative) and whining). As it is between playing agressively and being a thug. Cristiano didn't like it when they whistled because, according to himself, he is a "great player". He's also "rich and handsome". I think he was behaving childish. The crowd also chanted "Messi". It became to much for him, obviously. Of course it sucks getting injured. But that happens to everybody. It doesn't matter if you are rich, handsome and a great player.

              • Raven says:

                *aggressively

              • xoWinnie says:

LOL…have you heard of sarcasm? he knows they hate him. he was joking because he's used to hate. i'm pretty sure he's probably the most widely hated footballer and he's fully aware of that fact. if he can deal with the jeers and abuse he gets from a Camp Nou crowd, i doubt he's going to lose his sh1t over a Dinamo crowd, sorry–not buying that. joking about it is one of the ways he copes with it.

                • Raven says:

I don't credit him with that much cleverness. He was sick and tired and couldn't handle it. And I don't blame him.

                  • xoWinnie says:

it may be hard to believe considering he's not the smartest, but he's said similar things before? but okay, we've each said our piece, agree to disagree and all that.

  12. Gladys says:

I feel bad for Villareal and Shakhtar Donestsk. They're two of my favorite teams, but they get lost in the midst of all the big team news. Hopefully things will pick up for them (poor Villareal got the bracket from hell, so it may be an early exit for them if they don't get it together).

    • Gladys says:

Sorry, Kickette. I wasn't blaming you for not covering them…I meant I felt sorry that they both lost. Oh well. At least it's only the beginning of the CL games.

    • Sarah, Madrid says:

Poooor Villarreal! I soo rooting for them to go by, but their luck had put them in the hardest group ever! Valencia were unlucky, they should have won the game.
Anyway, the good thing there were too many draws, it restore hope for clubs who didn't do well for the first round. The UCL is just beginning.

  13. Kristina says:

    Lovely pics all around!

What happened? One goal in the first minute and one in the last minute for Milan. In between it was all Barca, as usual. A very strange game. But congrats to Milan for excellent defending, and game well played! Oh, but we need our Pique and Puyi!

All those draws!? RM won, but if it was up to me I would name Dinamo's goalie MOTM. He was scary!

  14. Gladys says:

Could have been a better outcome but such a pleasure to see Puyi on the field at all, let alone shirtless. (And it was Pato who did the exchange with him, so there was Milan man-candy, too.) My only question now, who do I have to pay on the other team to maneuver a shirt exchange with Afellay? We have until September 28, I believe, to secure the bribe.

  15. Enchy says:

I think that Torres did a great job and his perfomance was very much the highlight of these two days.

  16. Jade says:

    PUYI! How we've missed you…

  17. April says:

That last photo is great. Spot on caption!

Also, someone pointed out somewhere that Ballack looks an awful lot like a tanned Matt Damon as of late. He used to remind me a little of Benny Feilhaber when he was in Germany, but I definitely see the Damon thing now.

  18. Miss XOXO says:

Lovely picture of Lampsy and Michael B…;-)

  19. Miss Lampard says:

I have few thoughts about this round. First I have to say that Chelsea played in a fantastic way against Bayer Leverkusen, especially if I think that they don't play with all the first team (without JT, Didi and with Lampsy who entered only during the second half), and that Fernando showed his improvement, he hasn't found the goal yet but two assist are a fantastic thing. In my opinion Chelsea has been the best of the English team, because Arsenal's result was only 1-1 against Borussia, Man United obtained the same result, they didn't play very well, as they can do, but I think this has happened 'cause Sir Alex used some players of the second team. About City I have to say that it's the same unsuccessful squad of s**t (I saw the match yesterday against Napoli and Napoli for chances of scoring deserved to win). I have heard some people saying that this year in EPL would have been a battle between United and City, but obviously doesn't count so much score 15 goals in the last 4 matches. You need to show your "high-quality" during these matches, against teams that are technically worst than you. There are things that money can't buy.

About the match Barça-Milan the result is wrong, because it ended 2-2 with the second goal scored for Milan by Thiago Silva (90+2')

    • RosadiBologna says:

Erm, slightly harsh on City – calling them an "unsuccessful squad of s**t" is hardly fair. Try not to let your blatant bias shine through, eh?

And before you ask, I'm no City fan, I just think the comment was unnecessary.

      FORZA ROMAAAAA!

  20. Sarah, Madrid says:

Too much talk for a ucl game in knock-out stages, get a grip everyone! I am glad we won and that's it! Hala madrid! Good job Dinamo, not an easy venue! I am in love with the blue kits and red we look like liverpool or bayern..
