The wedding season continues to roll along in full-length satin and champagne toast mode, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
This weekend, Chelsea’s Joe Cole took his long-time gal Carly Zucker down the aisle, getting married at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
A range of footballers were on the scene – John and Toni Terry, the oft-misbehaved Wayne Bridge with wifey Vanessa, Scott Sinclair and Michael and Lisa Carrick.
After much anticipation about whether Frank Lampard and Elen Rives would attend (with the tabloids speculating it would be a mutli-faceted fiesta of awkward), we’ve yet to get anything 100% confirmed, and have not seen photos of either in attendance. Update on that to follow.
If you’re looking for photos of the wedding, you’ll have to be patient and wait for the £2 million Hello! magazine spread.
The Coles weren’t taking any chances and had guard dogs on patrol outside the grounds to make sure no one was able to scam a sneaky shot of the ceremony, or much more importantly, the Oscar de la Renta dress. From what we can see on the cover shot – it seems a demure choice, all things considered. We’re glad Carly kept it simple with her hair.
The morning after the night before the newlyweds attended a planned breakfast with friends and family in the garden at the seriously minimal-chic Hempel Hotel.
Seems an odd option to take for post-wedding scheduling. Surely the morning after getting married to a footballer should be spent laughing like a hyena everytime you glance at your ring and speed-ordering items from the Harrods website?
Oops. We should have said cuddling up to your new hubby and basking in the glow of your love, planning a new future together, shouldn’t we? That too.
Finally, let’s talk fashion. We asked our twitter followers for their take on Toni Terry’s dress with votes being split on success level.
For those that recall Toni’s wedding dress (dubbed, “uterus, internal”), this is similarly inspired. Kudos to her for the foxy bod and killer shoes though.

Congratulations to Joe and Carly! Carly is looking lovely, I like what she's done with her hair. Toni's dress is beyond description. But really, I don't even care about the rest when I get to see Mick in a suit. Thank you for attending and for getting pictured, honey. You're looking gorgeous. Lisa looks fine too, I like her dress. It's sad that I'm totally incapable of finding anything wrong with Lisa. *sighs*

TT’s dress looks good on her, well, what wouldn’t? Agree the ruffles at the top were de trop, but as for too much cleavage, nah! If you’ve got it, flaunt it.
I like Toni’s dress. I wouldnt wear it personally cos I don’t have the figure she has. I think she really pulls it off. Love the colour and the shoes. Carly looks good, least she brushed her hair

Congratulations to Joe and Carly! I can hardly wait to see this issue of Hello. As for Toni…well, aside from the whole 'married to John' thing, I like her and normally like pretty much whatever she wear- I even liked her wedding dress- but I don't like this choice. The dress itself is okay. It would have been much better without the ruffles on top. It would have been beautiful if the top half of the dress had been very simple, sleeveless, round neck- I'm thinking Audrey Hepburn-esque. The way it is, it's just too much. But aside from that, I wouldn't have chosen to display so much cleavage. It's a wedding. It's John's mate and co-worker's wedding. I would have been a bit more…demure and respectful, maybe, and made sure the focus was on the bride. But really, her dress is not even important at all when her best accessory is John Terry because DAMN!!! He looks so, so absolutely amazing that it's hard to even look away from him long enough to consider the dress…or really anything else in life for that matter! He is absolutely perfect. *sigh*

Made a note to rush out to the newsagent tomorrow for a peak at Hello. Looks very tasteful from the front cover, although I’m not sure about the net thingy. As for Toni, it’s amazing what you can do with purple toilet roll… Why so fussy a dress for one so small? Shoes are gorgeous!
