Night Out: Ashley and Cheryl Cole at The Mandarin
Chelsea’s Ashley Cole and his wife Cheryl were out (amongst a range of B-C list celebs) at Gary Barlow’s 10th wedding anniversary celebration in London last night. It was held at the Mandarin in Knightsbridge and a good time was had by all. Chazza and Ashely looked very chatty and chirpy on exit.
But let’s get to the real talk: her dress. It’s Julien Macdonald, from his S/S 2010 collection. Definitely not one for the shy and retiring non-fashionista. Cheryl paired it with a serious statement-making necklace, which certainly has alot to say for itself. We approve. We’re all for big, yappy necklaces, and think it’s a good choice for the bod-con avec shoulders dress. You?
Random: Nikon have named Cheryl as the most photogenic woman ever. Like, in the history of all mankind. Audrey Hepburn came in second. Nice one, CC!

She has major cankles!! yuck!
Really she came in before Audrey Hepburn? What was Nikon thinking? This D-lister nobody! I had actually never heard of her until I came here to Kickette. Go back to forgiving your husband's infedelities! its amazing how much these biatched put up with husband cheating just for the money, that accustomed lifestyle they are so used to..just like Rooney's wife.
I didn't even know that was a necklace. It blends in nicely with the dress. Don't like the tan colour at the front nor that shoes with the dress.
I love them. And actually, I like her dress. And her necklace. Not a fan of the shoes, though.
As for the other bit… no comment.
Cheryl is crazy beautiful, but sadly that dress is not. Not even on the model. Ashley looks great. About the Nikon thing, I read it as a judgement of who is most photogenic, rather that a contest for who is most elegant. I'm struggling to think of ANYONE at the moment who resides in the lofty realm of elegance that Audrey Hepburn inhabited.
Mrs. Cole might benefit from something Audrey Hepburn once said:
“There are certain shades of limelight that can wreck a girl’s complexion.”
Now for the dress.
If the sheer parts of the dress were all the same tone, I might like the dress better. Or maybe it would just look like a figure skating costume. I’m really not sure.
Touche!
the dress is horrible… the husband is horrible…
She pulls the dress off very well, and I think the necklace is perfect.
But I don’t like the shoes at all!!! I mean, her necklace is silver, her purse is metallic/silver, and her shoes are… gold? Personally, I don’t like too many different metals at once, it’s distracting and looks like you’re a walking jewelry store. She should have worn black shoes like the model, keeping the focus on the dress.
Love it. Well done, Mrs. C’s stylists.
Cheryl is really pretty, but the dress doesnt do it for me. xx
Yeah it is one of those dresses that looks much better on a stick insect than on a shorter stick insect. Good necklace. More photogenic than Audrey? – never.
Cherly beat Hepburn?!
NO WAY…this fake girl with hair extension and probably other fake body part beat the ultimate classic beauty!
there's something wrong with Nikon's eyes.
Audrey Hepburn and Cheryl Cole should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Ever. The Nikon employees must be high.
Exactly!!
Cheryl's gorgeous but doesn't come close to the class & beauty of Audrey.
You speak the truth…
oh, shnaps! you tell em, honey!
I like the dress on Cheryl very much, I think she carries it off well. And I didn't realise the piece at the top was a necklace until I read it on here! Fabulous, she matched it very well! She definitely is one of the most photogenic people I've ever seen…always looking immaculate despite the time of day or circumstances or outfits. She looks great!
I actually like the dress on the model, but not on Cheryl. It's just not flattering on her. I think I do agree that she is one of the most photogenic people ever!
