Noémie Lenoir: Well Wishes

Suicide attemptAs word quickly travels around the world, we reluctantly report that Noémie Lenoir allegedly attempted to take her own life this past Sunday. We were both shocked and saddened to learn of this news, and, before we continue, we urge those who are suffering from depression to seek help through a support network like The Samaritans.

The French supermodel was found unconscious in a shaded area of a park in La Celle-Saint-Cloud. After a passer-byer called for help, firefighters were first to the scene and transported Lenoir to a local hospital.

What transpired beforehand is anyone’s guess, although there are several news outlets recounting a similar series of events:

- Noémie was with ex-husband, Claude Makélélé, at his house in Paris. The suicide attempt came one week after Makélélé and Lenoir had staged their reconciliation in public, appearing together in the festivities celebrating the Coupe de France.

- At some point, she ingested a lethal cocktail of drugs – it has been inferred that the drugs were her prescription medications. Drugs were also found next to her body after she passed out beneath a tree in the park, but the nature of said “drugs” has not been 100% confirmed.

- One of the two parties present rang the Police Nationale – i.e. the French police – to call for help; that request was later cancelled by Noémie.

- Soon thereafter, she fled the home without warning.

- No details concerning the whereabouts of the couple’s five-year-old son,Keylan, have been reported and Noémie’s PR people are not commenting on the story at this time. The Police Nationale are reporting that Lenoir is no longer an imminent danger to herself or those around her.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Guess it just goes to show you that a pretty face and lovely clothes do not a happy life make. :(

So saddened by this news …I hope she gets and stays healthy…and that she receives the support/care she obviously needs.

I don’t know who said this…but I find there’s truth in the following statement:
    …Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem…

Depression is VERY SERIOUS and i hope PEOPLE will get help before they do something like suicide, THERE IS HELP OUT THERE it doesnt matter if your beautiful, rich, famous person in the whole world, mental health doesnt discriminate. It could’ve been a combination of things and i hope for the sake of her son that Naomi is getting the adequate help and the PRIVACY to do so in her own time, i hope she gets through this dark moment and have all her loved ones around her for support she needs a strong outlet right now :(

This is a very sad news! It must be a chronic depression then; she would naver attempt to take her own life and leave her son on this earth without his mother. Good luck to you Nomie during this time in your life!

my thoughts exactly. Stay strong Noémie, there is always a light at the end, there is always anonymous help to reach out to and most of all , you owe it to yourself and your son. No one else. and no one is sayin it is easy, but it IS worth it. sending you all the best.

  19. Merel says:

I was shocked when I first read it.

I hope Noemie get's well and will look for help. Her son is too young to lose it's mother. And she is too young to be gone from this world.
