Off the Market: Niko Kranjcar
Portsmouth’s Niko Kranjcar has tragically gone off market, Kickettes.
He’s just gotten engaged to his long term girlfriend, Simona Fistric, who has an economics degree and moved to the UK to be with him two years ago. The pair have been together for four years.
By the way, Simona’s 29 – six years older than Niko. This means she got in there when Niko was just 19. You know the integral Wagabee rule about getting in there while they’re young and/or hanging on for dear life, yes? Simona, we applaud you for seeing into the future with such focused and dedicated vision.
Niko is notoriously media shy and it’s unlikely there will be much information leaked about the upcoming nuptials. Reports have it set for the end of the year.

Girls, girls. I'm Niko's #1 fan but I'm really happy for them. She's been a great support to him all this time. She's an intelligent, normal looking woman and I'm very proud of Niko as he certainly could've gotten himself another one of those empty plastic model/stripper girls if he wanted to. But I like the idea that he looks for other qualities in women. Leaves hope for the rest of us naturally sexy, smart and charming women.

I don't see what's the problem with Niko (who is kind of cute) marrying a woman who is a couple of years older than him. Hell, such relationships exist, even in Hollywood (Halle Berry rings any bells?). And I think she looks fine, a plain Jane in my book. Nothing particularly bad about here that screams "ugly".
I'm not upset he is off the market, at all, but major props to Simona! Love your economics degree and going for the younger guy, not to mention that he would normally be aesthetically out of your league. Kudos to you!

There is NO such thing as OFF THE MARKET until they are hitched. Fiance does NOT equal wife. Take that Elen Rives! Ok, having said that, I agree with TFO that even though she is only a few years older, she looks like his mother or way older sister, not his lover. Please. He could do better. There are loads of lovely Kickette girls here that adore him. Rethink this thing Niko.
I’m going to agree with both LoveLamps and TFO – she does look like an older sister more than a girlfriend. But I guess it’s KIND of sweet that they’ve been together that long without any prior mention of engagement. That I’m aware of.
