When others zig, you zag. When a friend buys a Ford Focus, you get a Rolls Royce and airbrush a picture of your kids on the bonnet. When colleagues ask for “the usual” at the hair salon, you request a hybrid of cornrows and a Mohawk in all the colours of the rainbow. Essentially, you’re an ass.

We can’t help but feel that seconds after this lovely photo of Mesut Ozil was taken in the German NT hotel, at least one of his team-mates took the opportunity to slam his pretty face straight into the lightly dusted birthday cake before him.
We love him, and we’d have done it. Happy (belated) birthday anyway, Bambi!

Congrats to the club’s female contingent, who beat Birmingham City 1-0 to retain the Continental Cup. They will spend the next three days trying to force the damn thing into their trophy room, alongside the sixteen other trophies they have won since the boys lifted the FA Cup in 2005.
Any chance you could find it in your hearts to give the lads a few tips, ladies?
