Beck Talk: The Welcoming Party
As we look at the invite-only guest list for the Welcome To LA Party for the Beckhams, (hosted by Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith), we have to ask: what peasant mail-carrier lost our invitation in the mail? We do so enjoy events with free alcohol and the A, B and C list American famoso.
Guests included Brooke Shields, Bruce Willis, Quincy Jones, film director Ron Howard, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, Eva Longoria, Matt Lucas, Alyson Hannigan, Vivica A. Fox, Abel Xavier, L’il Kim, Rhianna and Wesley Snipes. Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and Steven Spielberg were invited, but have yet to be confirmed.
Have to say, we’re impressed with the level of play the Beckhams are operating with. Aside from the fact that this has little to do with footie, the Beckham’s are ballin’. Now let’s sit back and watch the haters in the UK slag them off for “wanting to break America” and for their success. Well, David’s success. Well, David’s non-football success at having rich people come to his parties and in looking good in his uniform.
But still, if this brings some glam to the game in the States, great. And more importanly, imagine the talent pool of hotties we’ve been missing out on who will now be brought to our attention.

Posh looks skeletal and those shoes are beyond awful.
Katie Holmes looks lovely,though why she brought her 11 year old nerdy brother I don’t know – oh wait, surely that’s not Tom…not with that haircut ?!
If this is the turn-out, I will be soo disappointed. So far this is totally C-list with a couple of b-listers thrown in. A few used to be A-listers but they have clearly dropped.
Does anyone else think it is is odd that Jade Pinkett-Smith and Posh look like twins? I mean they even have the same skintone, hair-style, dress shape, cleavage and the same men in HORRIFICALLY bad suits.
I am glad though that Beck’s Galaxy teammates were invited (at least some of them)
