Pepsi MAX Popstars: Didier Drogba, Sergio Aguero, Fernando Torres, Leo Messi, Frank Lampard & Jack Wilshere

Pepsi MAX’s latest commercial features a bunch of hot footballers surfing their way across a crowded arena to a bangin’ soundtrack supplied by the surprisingly cute Calvin Harris.
The players were obviously selected to specifically engage with our own, very niche demographic seeing as Fernando Torres, Sergio Aguero, Frankie Lampard, Didier Drogba, Jack Wilshere and Leo Messi were the boys the carbonated beverage brand chose to feature.
Upon watching, it’s clear Pepsi MAX was adamant on surpassing the success of our originally formed boyband from ’09. Yes, this charismatic crew are the reunited NKOTBSB to our disbanded N’Sync. Some of this year’s talent may be farther over the hill than others, but we don’t care because we love them and the wardrobe department’s equal allocation of v-neck and crew neck t-shirts all the same.
While we’re very much ok with the casting, if we had our way the outcome would have been vastly different. Imagine if there had been a break away unit of hardline Kickette Soldier Boys & Girls present in the building – the chance of those pretties getting anywhere near that damn stage would’ve been zilch.
Your turn in the director’s seat, Kickettes! How would you instruct the Pepsi MAX boybanders gone wild to stand, pose, pout, etc?

Frank and Didier looked hot!! Actually, I don't mind looking at any of them! I thought the whole thing was quite cute.
Everytime i read the title to this post I read 'pornstars' and not 'popstars'. That pretty much sums it up for me.
Can't get over Messi cruising around on that vending machine. It's hilarious.
The winner takes it all! That's a perfect, and logical, ending of the video. But if I where the director I would at least incorporate one scene where Fernando get his trousers pulled off him from underneath. Then someone else could relieve him from the rest of the clothing. That would have been interesting. And I would buy myself a Pepsi.
And none from RM.
How would we direct them to stand, etc.? Do you really have to ask this, Kickette? Obviously, whatever we would direct them to do would not involve clothing . . . And this commercial would only be eligible to air on the "special" channels.
Although I love Jack, I agree that Robin would've been more fitting. Also, are there no players from Man U cute enough to be included? Haha. Poor them. And three from Chelsea? Wow. Might as well be a Chelsea advert.
They are a cool bunch of players!

If I were the director, they wouldn't be crossing a sea of people to get to a Pepsi machine… they would all be fighting to get to me. In the end, instead of Messi carrying me away and sitting on me, I think that they would all win.
I've gotta be the only one here who thinks that despite the fab footballers, this ad is really, really bad and kinda dumb to boot.
Have you seen Pepsi's other footie ads? I love Pepsi, but ads like these make me happy that football isn't as big in America. The amount of cringe-inducing cheese coming from that video and some of the others is just… wow. At least it's pretty hilarious, so I'm going to pretend it was meant as some sort of awkward comedy
Here, here. I was reading all the previous post and thought I would be the only one who thought the commercial was absolutely dreadful. All those top footballers signed up for that ad and pepsi came up with such rubbish?
I quite liked that! Maybe would have swapped Jack for RVP if we were looking for an Arsenal representative but all in all, nice!
Apart from Torres' hair….I just can't bring myself to like it.

I like the fans in the background. And the two men that are clearly impressed by Torres. Then there seems to be a distant gazer for Messi off to the right.
If I were the director, every single one of players will be taking off their shirt in the end, the drink pepsi, and pepsi will drizzle down their neck, gorgeous abs… etc.
