  1. kita says:

yes, the bag in her hand is Vernis Alam MM as i thought.

  2. wow, really nice pic , and i like the lv bag which yulia carried,so cute.

  3. brandy says:

Some how, in some way, I love her. The way she just throws that bad fashion on us on purpose and stands by her choices.
    Like she is mocking us.

  4. MrsXabiAlonso says:

I don’t think there are any WAG’s that I like? I don’t dislike too many of them either, they kinda all make me say, meeeehhh.

  5. freddiegirl says:

I just know Olalla as a very sweet young woman so her fashion choices don’t bother me.  I think it says a lot for Fer that he’s not with a glamour girl like Eva when he clearly could be.

I understand your dislike, I never like any of the girls that get to go out with Freddie…that’s just envy and I admit it.  Only Anara gave me a reason to legitamitly hate her…:(

  6. She can be as sweet and nice as she wants, but that jawbone still bothers me. That, and the truckercap, the converse, the too long jeans, the orange hair she sported a while, the leopard top… And some illfitted lavender sundress that scared me to near-death.

But on the other hand, if he would have been with someone like Eva Gonzales or Caroline, I probably would have commited suicide by now.  tongue wink

  7. Oh no, Freddiegirl, don’t say that… That girl has a jawbbone like a guy.

  8. freddiegirl says:

Aww Malin…I am very conflicted on this one….You are a sweetheart and Fer is very lucky to have a fan like you…and would be very lucky to have you as a girlfriend…but Olalla is a geniunely sweet girl..I can’t badmouth her.
You would, however be the first to know if Fer ever became single though…;)

  9. MrsXabiAlonso says:

How can you not love her? She’s so shiny and happy. Going out with her would be like having your own disco ball, and whats not to love about that?? Love her a bit more with every glamtastic picture I see!!!

  10. kaya says:

    Hey, I like the shoes!
I instantly identified with this photo… it’s pretty much what I see in the mirror whenver I get the silly idea to try on any shirt that buttons up. I just never actually step out of the dressing room with it on.
Yes, yes, she could go with a bigger shirt, but then it just looks ginormous everywhere else but the boobs. I have to laugh at seeing her just go for it, regardless. What a gal!

  11. freddiegirl says:

I love them both…they are so tacky and shiny…and they absolutely do not give a ****.  I think that’s great.

Favorite WAGs…Well I like this on, Yulia…and sorry Malin and other Fern lovers..I really like Olalla…..she’s sweet and looks the girl next door..I know that won’t be a popular opinion here.
I do think Iker Casillas’ and Francesco Totti’s WAGs are beautiful but I don’t know much about them.

  12. natalie says:

well all i can say i that its a major improvement on the shellsuits

  13. cassie says:

i don’t think there is any denying the fact that she has no fashion sense, but that can always change over time…i mean it happened with coleen (yes, she does make bad choices once and awhile, but she’s come along way!!)  i think people like her because she is normal looking, not fake, and makes mistakes like the rest of us BUT really doesn’t care.  that takes a pretty strong, smart woman to think that way when they are being photographed all the time!

she’s definitely not my favourite WAG, but refreshing nonetheless.

  14. Jacey says:

awww, look at her. Shiny hair, shiny eyes, shiny lips, shiny (gaping) blouse), shiny skirt, shiny purse, shiny toes.

I don’t know why, but she makes me smile. Maybe it’s because she seems so comfortable in her own skin.

  15. Moongirl (Mrs Sender says:

I have to agree she does have an individual taste but as I said yesterday they both seem happy with it and I can’t help but like her.

Liked the KK and Ronaldo link Carefree – not sure about the little dig at Man City further down the article though(re: Berbatov) are we not suffering enough!!!!

  16. MrsMichaelOwen says:

wow she scrubs up well 4 sum one who is seen in that blue monstrosity!

    security word: her46

  17. QB says:

This is a improvement, she is so likable

  18. I actually do like Yulia, beacuse she seems to go her own way, but all these horribly dressed and fixed WAGs makes me think that Oh what a wonderful world the football world would be if they were all replaced by say, the kickettes…

  19. Dolce says:

You know, jokes aside, she really has potential…really she does… I just don’t understand.
Dammit, I need to date a baller… I’d definitely do it right!!

  20. Katie - baby says:

I no the outfit is not the greatest espec with all the different purples but she looks much better here then when she wore that horrible chavy lepard print trackie !!

  21. Lil' says:

I’m sure Elen Rives is jealous of Yulia’s style, she has normal clothes here maybe she should not have put all of them together and buy a larger shirt
    anyway they are cute

  22. Pavi says:

As much as I want to hate this outfit I feel like she’s making an honest effort.  The bag however is just horrible and clashes with the rest of the outfit.  I agree that Yulia seems like such a sweet and likable person that I can almost forgive her questionable fashion sense.

Cherry, I agree with you on the Voronin comment.  I just feel like he hasn’t proven himself at all during the season and would much rather see him get sold.

  23. jax says:

Aw, she loves her shiny satin, doesn’t she. Maybe someone should tell her it needs to be dry-cleaned to avoid shrinkage.  I agree with the others that there’s something quite sweet in her cluelessness compared to the equally clueless haughty, witchy Elen.

  24. Johnna says:

Somewhere Elen Rives is wondering when Yulia stole her outfit….

  25. Neryss says:

I love this woman, definitly my favourite wag. Don’t ever let them change you my darling!

  26. Avenath says:

Hey, isn’t that the same bag she sported with that horror of horrors blue tracksuit?…some Louis Vuitton reject of sorts…i can only look at the bag coz everything else is quite scary…the blouse!!…aaarrgghh….my eyes!!!…but i agree that she’s not as nauseating as Alexander a.k.a. Alex Curran Hyphenated Gerrard…

  27. Cherry says:

She is very sweet and charming looking even though her sense of style is crap. You can’t help but like her. Thankfully she’s nothing like that witch of a horror show that goes by Elen Rives. And I agree his play has dipped, but any guy that has a ponytail, I’ll cut them some slack. However, he’s playing for Liverpool and needs to get his act together or be sold.

  28. Thanks, Carefree!  Yes, I love my Red Devils.  Can’t hide it!!  Also Sunderland, because of a certain Corkman.  And England.  I throw in bits and pieces that interest me from other teams from time to time.

The Spoiler is a great site – always something fun there.

LTG, I agree, Yulia looks like everybody’s dorky neighbour down the hall, who is really friendly and you can’t hate her, even though her dog smells.

  29. Fourth, I commend King Kev for speaking out but I think you’re right – he might have just signed his own pink slip. I hope not…but I’m not that optimistic.

To the topic at hand. Yowza! There are two breasts just gagging to make the great escape!! Geez. She definitely is a trail blazer of sorts…a virtual clothing car wreck.

The thing is…she does seem kinda sweet and her own person so I can’t really be extra nasty towards her—like I would be towards Alex.

  30. Carefree says:

    TFO

I don’t think so.  If he does, then I don’t understand why he was hired in the first place.

I think his “Premiership is boring” comment was blown out of proportion.  He meant that it’s predictable, and I agree, it is.

He’s just like any other manager, he wants more money from the owner.

Okay, this is getting way off topic.

BTW – I’m kind of new, and I just checked out your Fresh Legs blog.  I think it’s good, even if it’s a little Red Devil heavy!

There’s a good Keegan link here:
    http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/index.php/2008/05/07/go-anywhere-near-kevin-keegan-and-he-will-touch-your-face

    And a Ronaldo rumour:
    http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/index.php/2008/05/08/cristiano-ronaldo-to-sign-for-real-madrid#more-1966

I’m sorry to hijack your thread ladies, I couldn’t resist football talk.  I promise not to do it anymore.

  31. Way way off topic, but anyone else think Kevin Keegan is going to get the axe today?

  32. Amelie says:

wow Andrei has come a long way in improving his fashion sense, even if his football has deteriorated. did anyone see the stonewashed denim outfit he first turned up in?

    i like yulia.

  33. Aoife says:

You’re right Malin – there’s a disturbing bit of gaping at the bust there. Ill fitting blouses are the devils uniform!

  34. Carefree says:

I made fun of her track suit yesterday and her fashion choices are always questionable, but…

There’s something honest and likeable about her.  I much prefer her over a lot of the other WAGs.  She seems sweet and has that smarter-than-she-looks air about her, doesn’t she?

    I’d date her.

  35. Oh dearie me.  blank stare

I think we all just have to accept that Yulia is her own shiney, ill-fitting woman and we have to embrace her for it.

However, I absolutely cannnot forgive the bag.

  36. Aoife says:

Yulia!! I have that exact skirt and blouse – I don’t know whether that’s a good or a bad thing.

It all looks a bit sweet wrapper to me and slightly ill fitting. But she’s got her heart in the right place and ya gotta love her! Bag and shoes are a no no, though.

Andriy: footballer chic. I love it.

  37. And what happened with the top? I’m not all that comfortable watching that glimpse of flesh…

  38. That is a lot of shades of purple at the same time…

  39. Deanna says:

Tammyv, that’s really a very interesting take on King Kev! Yes, I always found it strange that people were gunning for Alan Shearer, both for the England job as well as the Newcastle one. A person who’s had absolutely no experience of coaching, how could they expect him to take on a struggling team and turn them around? Especially a club like Newcastle, where there is so much of expectation from the fans. At least, with England they had the example of Klinsmann with Germany, so it might have worked.

Carefree, thank you for the links! That Kevin Keegan one was hilarious! And the spoiler, well the only rumour that I liked was the Huntelaar one! And no, he wouldn’t be a bench warmer, he’d probably start most games(if he’s as good as we’ve heard) with Wayne and Carlos rotating for second striker. Playing with one fit striker at this time of the season really sucks! And I don’t know about the other girls, but I enjoy the football discussion as well as the gossip!

About the WAGs, well I’m with The Fourth Official on this, I admire Stacey Giggs a lot. I think Coleen is rather nice too.

  40. tammyv says:

Loosethatgirl,  I have NO illusions that The Special One is coming to the Toon.  I think we need a foreign manager badly to kick the boys into high gear…

look at what getting Fabio Capello on the coaching staff has done for us.  He is the sole reason Michael Owen is getting it done finally.  Capello benched him for not performing for club, so Owen started to get it done.

I was watching Blue Revolution last night, which was really interesting and all I could think was F*CKING HELL I MISS JOSE and his goofy, sexiness and his smile with those dimples, his clothes, trench coast, swagger… WE MISS YOU JOSE COME HOME – THE TOUCHLINE NEEDS YOU!

  41. Elise says:

Hmmm…favourite WAGs.  I don’t really mind any of them except for Elen.  I just try not to think about her because I just cannot get over how much I dislike her.  I like Coleen and Alex most of the time.  And I suppose I really do like Toni Poole, despite the fact that I want to take her man almost as much as I want to breathe.

  42. Laura Dagger says:

Ooo a lot of liverpool love today, Alma on the thread below and these 2 are at the docks. I must need to get out more, i’ve only ever seen 1 wag in town!

  43. Carefree, I like the different take on the faves. Yeah, we haven’t said who our fave WAGs are….

My fave WAG would be Janelle Khouri—my beloved Owen Hargreaves’ *real* partner. Why do I like her? She’s been with Owen for years and years, comes from his hometown in Calgary, Canada and is a footie player of note herself. She doesn’t seem to be all about Owen’s pocket book and keeps herself private. I would like to know more about her but I respect her privacy. Despite my HUGE crush on her guy, I think she and Owen make an adorable couple – very well suited.

I also rate Lisa Carrick and Coleen. I’m strangely fascinated by Carly Zucker and Abby Clancy.

The WAG that bugs me the most—quite simple – that would be Posh. And Alex is starting to climb the charts in that regard too.

  44. Elise says:

When I heard Kevin Keegan say that I knew he was going to take some heat for it.  I like him, though, and respect him for taking a page out of Steve Coppell’s manual of straight-talking.  That’s an interesting theory, tammyv.  As for Jose going there, I think that’s the only EPL team he could go to which I could somehow find a way to deal with it.  Probably because Newcastle is my recently adopted second team.  Oh, and thanks for the rumors link, Carefree.  Gudjohnsen to Portsmouth?  Now this does complicate things.  Old allegiances and all.  Damn.  But it would be nice to see him playing in England again.

  45. tammyv says:

thanks Carefree for the link… I have not read that one before, but it is bookmarked now.

I read this one a lot, BLack, White and Read All Over:  http://www.blackandwhiteandreadallover.blogspot.c…

    Top Players (In No Order):

1.) Lampard (Keep hoping that NUFc is holding out No. * for him)

    2.) Obafemi Martins
    3.) Deco
    4.) Requelme
    5.) Clint Dempsey
    6.) Brian McBride
    7.) Messi
    8.) Freddie Adu
    9.) Nicky Butt
    10.) David Rosenthal

    Top WAGS (In No Order):
    1.) Elen Rives (Lamps)
    2.) Yulia
    3.) Toni Poole Terry (JT’s)
    4.) Caroline (Mrs. Kaka)
    5.) No

  46. My favourites?  I’m not sure that’s the right term.  The WAGs I detest the most:  Elen, Alex and Victoria.  Victoria most of all because I blame her for David leaving United.  (And no, I don’t want to get in a debate about it with anyone, thanks.  That’s just the way I feel.)

The WAG I detest the least:  Stacey Giggs.

The WAG I most admire, because she’s classy, she’s private, she’s focused on her family and her husband loves her enough to never drag her name through the tabloids:  Theresa Keane.

  47. Carefree says:

I’m kind of new here.  Been reading for w little while, but only started posting when we got called out.

I could get a feel of who the Kickettes favourite players were, even before the FF list.

I can’t quite get a grip on who the favourite WAGs are.  I know it’s different for everyone, but who would you say your top 5 are?

  48. Carefree says:

    Tammyv

That’s an interesting take on KK and NUFC.  Haven’t seen anything like that get mentioned anywhere else.  There’s a NUFC blog I check out once in a while
    http://nufcblog.com/
It’s updated regularly, you may be interested, if you don’t know it already.

  49. tammyv says:

No other club would have tried the death

Should read: No other club would have treated the death

  50. tammyv says:

I think the blose probably fits her perfectly when she doesn’t have one arm pulled behind her back.  I think it looks bad because of the angle of her body and the position of her shoulders and arms.

I do still love Elen but clearl Yulia rocked it.

Say want you will about Elen and her personality, she clearly was the rock that was holding Lamps together at his mother’s funeral.  He was clutching her hand so tightly he might have cut off cirulation. She was there when he needed he her. It was clearly love there.

I would expect them to finally get married this summer and for Lamps to stay at Chelsea.  No other club would have tried the death of his mother like they did, for him personally and for her publically (West ham but that is another matter).

  51. FootballerChick43 says:

On her… I’m kind of thinking she should have gone a size up on the blouse, then had it taken in to fit her chest. Your chest looking like its about to be one of those jack-in-the-boxes over your shirt is never a good thing.

    Love the skirt, though.

On him…wow. He’s a contradiction. On one side, he’s poshed up with the nice button down and blazer, then he’s totally back in the 80’s with the long hair, the acid washed jeans, and the cowboy boots. The jeans don’t scare me quite as much as the hair. Ick.

I will say the blazer is nice though.

  52. Ug, Tammy, thanks for the memories (not!).  Well, I’d have to go with Yulia, because at least she means well, and Elen has no good intentions that I can discern.  Blech.

What is it with purple and black?  It’s just an evil combination.

Thanks for your perspective on the KK situ, I hadn’t thought of it that way.

Want to write a guest column for my blog about Newcastle’s season?

  53. Lil' says:

Elen has a problem with her waist and I can’t
decide which one si the worst but I feel more sympathy for Yulia

  54. tammyv says:

I have been saying all along (not hear because it has never come up) but that Kevin was hired to do two things that Newcastle needed:

1.) Eliminate fans desire for the Shearer return.  Alan thinks he is bigger then the club and is woahfully unprepared to manage a prem-side.  The King returning was the ONLY want to neutralize the Shearer factor with fans.

2.) Get the team to a point, with the fans where the are ready for a foreign manger in the summer (without the BS calls for Shearer as manager).  He had to tank the team, close to religation without actually getting religated so the fans would clamer for quality and accept a foreign manger.

I never expected him to last beyond the end of the season and I don’t think it was ever in the plans.  He should be offered a lovely job upstairs and any of the great foerign mangers without jobs can come (Sven, Frank R, Lippi, Big Phil, Jose, etc).

Now on to Yulia v. Elen.. and who rocked it better:

    http://www.kickette.com/images/uploads/franklampa…

Elen in purple and black compared to Yulia
