Photo Call: Liverpool FC’s Holiday Party
Perhaps you’re wondering why we’ve yet to put up the photos of the Liverpool “80s themed” Christmas party.
That’s because they don’t exist. We’ve been dealing with the disappointment by learning Photoshop so we can super-impose a pair of silver glitter leg warmers on Xabi Alonso and give Stephen Gerrard a cute chin dimple with a side of shoulder pads.

Instead of the glorious 80s decade, the Liverpool party theme seems to have been “safe and boring and slightly unattractive”.
The shindig was held in Liverpool at Circo in the Albert Docks and we’ve attached a few images for your viewing displeasure. If you’re short on time and/or attention span, just click through to Fernando Torres’ lavender jumper. If you squint hard enough, you can almost pretend he’s wearing a studded tie-dyed string vest.

Lol, that’s so funny, Fourth Official! Does anybody have ANYTHING at all about the Arsenal Christmas party? Did they even have one? Ofcourse they did; they’re ‘ballers. But the apparent lack of anything Arsenal leads me to believe it was on some secret far away land… I mean i’ve seen Chelsea and Liverpool and God knows we’ve all seen Utd’s but why are there no Arsenal ones. I’ve even seen West Ham’s!! And as an Arsenal supporter, I’m just dying to see sexy lil Cescy Fabulous…

I don’t get where the 80s came in at all in this one… not an ounce of it anywhere. Except on Alex with those awful blue tingly leggings. That would explain a lot if she was trying to be 80s like the invite said. Imagine entering that party and realizing you didn’t get the memo that the 80s theme was out a la Bridget Jones.
I will say this though: this is the ugliset team on the planet. Whole lotta UGLY in those pics. I may never recover.

I think Steven Gerrard and Fernando torres look so cute, and I really like stevie’s trainers they suit his outfit. I love Abbey’s dress. I zoomed in crouch does look like he is wearing eye shadow!!
I think they all look nice, but not everyone looks happy, do they? And those damned white shoes Stevie is wearing!! Frank has them, too, and I just loathe them. I don’t care that they’re D&G;. They’re still white and still wrong.

Well I have a completely different opinion. I think it looks classy. And I like Torres’ clothing. If he’d worn a black or grey sweater he’d look like a mortician, but the lavender is rather nice. And very English. How proper of the boy. And I bet it’s cashmere. Mmmm. Cashmere. All the better for snuggling.
All this rather makes Alex’ bright blue sparkly tights look rather outre, non?

Was really looking forward to these pictures, but all we got is a few stroppy faced pictures of the team looking like they’d rather be tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle, watching Wizard of Oz and drowning in chocolate wrappers (not that thats how I spent my xmas *shifty eye*)
Oh well lets hope they make up for it next year!
