Pitter Patter: Carly and Joe Cole Become Parents – UPDATED

Fellow Kickettes, we are sorry to interrupt our regular schedule of footballer navel-gazing, but we have great news of a very anticipated ‘baller baby arrival.
Congratulations are in order for one of our favorite couples – Joe Cole (of Chelsea FC) and Carly Cole (of untamed hair) who have become proud parents of a baby girl.
The girl weights 6lb 3oz, the labour lasted 16 hours and both the new mum and the bubba are doing fine. The couple still haven’t finally decided on the baby’s name.
After long time *cough* courting Carly and Joe got married in June of last year at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The bride wore Oscar de la Renta, there was a number of footballers and WAGs in attendance and Hello Magazine was on site to capture the moment.
Ms Cole was quite active during the pregnancy – she walked the dog, did a spot of shopping, sat on a giant workout ball and took the bump for a Sports Relief Bumps and Babies Mile event at Battersea Park.
(FYI, Carly was 8 months pregnant at the time. We mentioned it before, but it bears repeating. We don’t think we would be able to even waddle to the nearest Tescos to pick up a kilo of I’m pregnant let me eat that or I’ll kill you chocolate biscuits if we were that far along, let alone do a charity walk.) Kudos to Carly for introducing her bubba to charity work while still in the womb.
As per our scientific study of baller babies little Cole girl is bound to be deliciously gorgeous bundle of joy.

Met Joe Cole yesterday just before he headed off to Wembley. I wasn’t a fan before but he was SUCH a nice guy! I asked him for a pic with my little cousins and he not only only happily obliged but took the time to talk to them, asking them questions and shaking hands.Really really nice guy, so friendly. I have been converted! Gave him a congrats on baby Ruby too.

Only 16 hrs? Lucky her! I was in labor for 30 hours and it hurt like sh&*!! Its the worse pain we as women could feel, specially when you do a normal vaginal birth.

Lovely couple. Lovely news. And as long as they don't call the baby "Apple", "Bluebell" or "Daisy Boo", all will be well. (I doubt they'll call her "Chelsea" considering the lousy contract they're offering Joe. Maybe they'll call her Madrid? Or Alexa Fergie?

I agree. Joe Cole would look great in red. And look at all the playdates "Baby Alexa" could have! One afternoon at the Owens…the next day at the Rooneys…etc. It works for everybody!!

Yes me too, but apparently, the baby girl looks so much like Joey so they are reconsidering it. I read this on the OK! Magazine website, so I dont know if it’s true

I was wrong with my guess of the birthdate then (I guessed the 22nd). Glad everything is ok with them all & also hoping that since they have not announced a name that they decided against Scarlett as the kid's name. Was not keen on that when I first heard they'd decided on that name but then again, it's not my kid so I suppose what I think doesn't really matter!
