Posh Launches Line at NY Fashion Week

Victoria Beckham has officially made the move into high end fashion.  After dabbling in denim, sunnies and perfumes, she’s now moved on to designer dresses.

On Sunday, Victoria began showing her first collection privately to buyers and fashion media during New York Fashion week. (Would have been great if she’d showed in London, no?)

Fashion bible WWD has the full report on the dresses, which will range from from £750 and up. Must be a very exciting time for Lady V.

“Dresses are very signature for me, as I have always dressed in a very feminine and ladylike manner,” Beckham said. “This collection may be new, but it’s been a lifetime in the making for me.”

Victoria certainly wears enough designer gear to know a good dress when she sees one, and fashion is more her forte than music. If you had the budget, would you take inspiration from the Victoria Beckham catwalk?

That big long comment in the old comments section is mine btw. I couldn't be arsed logging in first and posting in the member's section. It says 'posted by Sarah on 09/08 at 9:06am' Btw, why is this comments section set to GMT time and the old one is on American time?

I would totally buy one if I had the cash, but I tend to have more important things to save for.. such as college.

Absoulutely amazing. I don’t like VB that much but those dresses are bad. And I don’t mean good bad, I mean bad bad. I don’t think I would wear them even if I could afford to dress in her label, I wouldn’t risk the money.

Posh! Are your feet shrinking??? What's going on down there, sister? Her dresses aren't really my thing, but fashion tends to be subjective a lot of the time. I wish her well.

The Dresses Are Okayy, But I Was Hoping For Them To Bit a Little Bit More .. I Dunno . A Little More VB I Supose.

    Poker face.

My thoughts exactly LTG. Would Victoria know how to make dresses for curves? And, I'm not talking plus size women, just not board straight size zero. If so, I'd buy. The dresses she wears are usually lovely.

would i buy one of her dresses? probably

  14. TammyV says:

First thought… wow her feet are not meant to wear those shoes..

  15. Sarah says:

I might consider it, as long as she doesn't try to sell me leather leggings.

  17. The Fourth Official says:

I love a beautifully cut, feminine dress, but they are not really very practical for my lifestyle, which six months of the year involves climbing over snowbanks on the way to work. But good luck to Victoria in her new venture.

Her jean are not selling and she is trying to sell more overprice clothe which looks really common

Liverpool Sarah – I have no clue what you’re on about, but Katie Holmes does not have a fashion line. Never has. I think VB’s collection will do just fine. It’s not designed for the likes of us girls, sadly, but she will do fine her target market. She’s following her dream, so I give her credit.
