QOTD: Abbey Clancy On Losing The Baby Weight

Abbey Clancy (along with Peter and baby Sophia) had her hands full outside Osteria restaurant in Prestbury, Cheshire. The fam stopped off for a quick bite during a long day of house hunting in the area on 08.09.2011.

We’ve read a lot of tips and tricks for losing – and keeping – the baby weight off, but have never had to heed any anonymous advice ourselves, thankfully. Understanding how this very waistline worry that plagues all new Mums, Abbey Clancy recently shared her secret for shifting the baby weight:

‘I’ve lost the weight because I’ve been so busy.’

Bitch.

Please keep in mind that our bodies are all different and what works for this WAG will certainly not work for any normal person. Including her diet:

‘A McDonald’s Egg McMuffin is my guilty pleasure and nothing is going to stop me enjoying my booze.’

Damn. She’s good.

I wish some of these celebrity women would simply say-I've lost the baby weight very soon and look toned because I have a cook, cleaning woman, nanny so I can spend several hours in beauty saloon's and work out with my personal trainer.I wish all the new mothers could have a cleaning woman and a cook but at least be honest about it.

She might as well give advice for how to not put on much weight for the person who easily gains weight. She's something like 5'-11" and is always going to be thin. Now VB might be an interesting test case for a more typical body type to study. If you want to go for broke and don't have the body type, start using VB's bird food diet.

If my husband was Peter Crouch I'd be busy too–running behind him to keep my eye on him and make sure he doesn't get into any more "trouble".

I hear you girl! I will fight someone over quality booze! Hate egg mcmuffins though.

There's only 300 kCal in an Egg McMuffin, and the 18g of protein will keep you full up until lunch, so it's a healthier breakfast than you'd think!

The real key is to stick to an extra 250 kCal a day during the latter stages of your pregnancy like she obviously did, rather than eating for 2 or 3 and putting on 5 stone. You can only give birth to the weight that makes up the baby – annoying but true!

    • HoneyBee says:

Actually my nieces weighted both around 4 kilograms when they were born but my sister lost 12 kilograms by the time she came back from hospital and 10 second time-so it's not just the baby weight that you loose, you actually loose more weight, more than double in most cases,I won't mention other things that come out of your body as well before, during and after giving birth that result in that weight loss(in case you're squimish).

This clearly needs a translation from WAGSpeak to NormalPeople. "Busy" in all of its forms (see also: "breastfeeding," "running after my children," etc.) when used by a recent mother who walks out of the hospital with a cute baby in arms and her size -2 waist suspiciously intact roughly translates to either "secret tummy tuck performed conveniently right after giving birth" or "I haven't eaten anything but celery for the past two months."

Also, Mickey D's and booze. What a classy mum.

Oh, please. How much weight did she gain from her pregnancy anyway? maybe 10 lbs? Not so difficult to lose 10 lbs..
