Nando manages to kill me with both his genuine behaviour and his ability to create goals out of absolutely nothing. Love love love him and his genuine pride at playing for Liverpool. Plus being absolutely adorable doesn’t hurt.

I know players act loyal and then bugger off to other clubs, but I honestly don’t see Fernando leaving Liverpool unless he is literally forced out, kicking and screaming. And this is from an Arsenal fan.
I honestly think he will leave Liverpool to try to achieve something but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop being Scouse darling. He seems to love the club, fans love him, and there’s no reason for that bond to be broken if/when he leaves. Would Chelsea fans stop loving Lamps had he decided to go to Inter? No. We would be sad, but he would still be our legend, and I’m sure those emotions would be mutual. Or look at it this way: Fernando left AM for L’pool. Did he love AM? Of course he did and he still does. However, love towards his club wasn’t enough to keep him from going elsewhere.
And why did he leave Atléti? Because Liverpool was the club in his heart.
Nothing will make him WANT to leave, but he might get sold against his will, judging by the money issues we have. There will be grief if that happens.
