QOTD: Landon Donovan On Money, Power & Respect
“When I was younger, I was motivated by different things. I wanted to score all the time, I wanted to be famous, I wanted to be popular, I wanted to make money. I wanted to do all of those things, but at the end of it all, those things don’t do a lot for you.”
Landon, trust us. You’re obviously doing it wrong. Let us guide you.

He has demonstrated oodles of class as he has matured. I find his introspection refreshing. The day he retires will be a sad day for the USMNT (can't wait to see his 50th goal by the way).
And oh by the way, not retiring any time soon. See you at Goodison Park in January my friend.
A return to Goodison Park perhaps? I'd love to see him in the Premiership again!!
Landon has matured a lot over the years, both as a person and as a player, and it has been great to watch. He's one of my favorites, and I know I'll be a complete mess when he finally decides to retire.
He's just trying to draw some press to himself by hinting at retirement. I couldn't care less what he does. He doesn't rate with me.
And yet you felt the need to read an article about him and comment on it. Good job not caring.
Maybe I should have said "I don't care what career path he chooses". But why did you have to be snarky with me?
I heard about his comments and just thought, "Wow, he really needs a good woman." Its time to stop talking to Bianca and move on with your life, Landon. Maybe you need a new city, a little less Hollywood superficial nonsense, and a little more distance from your ex.
