Question of the Day: JT in Charge
Is John Terry a good choice for captain in the England v USA friendly today?
We are strangely non-plussed by the entire situ today.
We will, of course still be watching, and sincerely hope England look like a functioning team.
Or at the very least, cute whilst semi-functioning.

Here's a point! Why doesn't the england squad have more fit players like Spain's squad!? OK, we have Hargreaves, Gerrard and Lampard but Spain have Torres! He wins hands down every time! I think it may be time to change my nationality!

I don’t think JT is England Captain material at all. Don’t care how passionate he is, he’s a bully and a thug on the pitch. Not counting his horrible behavior off of it. So no. Not ever.

I think it is a briliant choice! John Terry has proved himself a worthy captain by doing a great job at Chelsea and i think this is what he needs to boost his confidence after his penalty miss in the Champions League final. I agree with Cheryl…england will win!*crosses fingers*

If John is still going to be all caught up in blaming himself for Chelsea's loss ((which is f**king stupid)) then it is a bad choice. If he manages to get over himself then it still doesn't make much difference. I think England have proved they are the same team no matter who is the captain. Captain status has been lessoned by all this swapping and changing, and I just hope we manage to learn how to pass the ball to each other and find the bloody goal.

Still think Stevie should be made the captain. But am just glad he scored and was named Man of the Match in the USA game. Yay!

I’m having a little trouble with John lately but will set that aside for the sake of his loving ladies/stalkers here. But, if Capello needs him to function as a footballer again, this is probably the way to get him back up on the horse after last weeks fall. Mr. C said that this date was already on the list as Terry’s run-out anyway. Hope he a) behaves himself, b) doesn’t try to overcompensate. For some reason my high hope is just that everyone comes out healthy! “Friendlies” always make me nervous. Best luck to the boys, they deserve to finally click and have a bit of fun while they’re at it…needless to say Becks deserves a little celebrating with the home fans after his 100th

JT is an excellent choice and this is exactly what he needs to pull out of the depression of the Champions League and the possibility of Frank leaving for Italy. Well done Mr. C!
I don’t know whether to choose to cheer on England or USA.. because, you know, we’ve (USA) gotten better but we’re still not that great.. and England has a lot of my favorite players… and I feel as if I should be patriotic but… I don’t know.
