I lika Rauls outfit. But is that tattoos around her thighs? Really tacky.
Easily one of my fave couples. They are the anti-Nagore & Xabi. And by that I mean that both couples are awesome in very different ways.
He looks yummy and the color of his suit/her dress is gorgeous!

They look amazing! They are totally rocking a hipster 70s vibe. She's got that Chrissy Hynde hair cut and he looks like he's in the coolest band you've ever heard of, or a really highbrow mixed-media artist whose work you don't really understand but really wish you did. LOL They're awesome!
I love these two. They just WORK! Ivone is so different from most other WAGs with her tatts, a healthy physique and her own style. Raul looks foine here too. So glad the Meireles' came to LDN

Wow! They're straight out of Vice magazine, these two. Though I'm not a fan of neck tattoos, I'm lovin' Raul more and more. (I think it was dancing with Chris Cohen to the Mata song that pushed me over the edge.) Michael Essien looked pretty cute at the event, as well. As for Nando, it seems, from the photos, that a lot of players didn't go.
I absolutely adore that video of him dancing to the Mata song!! My love for Raul just tripled watching it!
I love how they are matching. His tie looks the color of her dress. You have to admit they look pretty fierce for a footballing couple. They totally own it!
Take the WAG out of her shoes and you're left with a very nice looking man and a workable pair of shoes.

on another note, i'd like to say it wasnt such a nice move from nando not to show up. he has to establish a good relationship with his colleagues and not distance himself even more from the club.

Well, apparently a guy who bid £15,000 for a training session with Drogba joked that he should give it to Torres instead.
So maybe it's a good job he didn't go.

Yes, and apparently Drogba had the tact not to laugh with the rest of the audience, which was kind, he seems like a nice man. Poor Torres.

Not a Chelsea fan by any means, but Drogba seems to be a great guy who does a lot to support various causes.
With all the criticism he might get on the pitch, off the pitch he genuinely seems like a gent.
He does! And all that charity stuff he does (I believe a lot of it goes on behind the scenes as well?) is amazing.
Maybe more kids should have him as a role model instead of Rooney or JT.

Maybe he was sick. Maybe he had a sick child. Why assume the worse? From what I can see Torres has a great relationship with colleagues – Luiz, Mata, etc.
Because Torres never shows up to support his teammates at these types of events? This is definitely not the first time he has been a no show
How do you know that he was specifically invited? There are others that didn't go. I didn't see it reported that Mata made it… nor Luiz. No criticism of them? They generally are good at mixing it up with their teammates. Actually, it was mostly the "old guard" that went. And Chelsea FC didn't even report that Meireles was in attendance, so maybe he wasn't there for the entire event himself.
This is just such a silly thing to bring up- Drogba could care less if Torres shows up or not. Not to mention a "no-show" is for someone that RSVP'd that they were going and then didn't. Not when someone you hoped to catch a glimpse of in the tabloids didn't make an appearance.
He wasn't the only Chelsea player who missed this, was he?
Nando and Olalla usually don't go to such events, they didn't in the past, so why should they start now? To prove he's best friends with Drogba or because people love to overanalyze everything he does or doesn't do on the pitch as well as off it?
well considering how his chelsea career is going, and the rumours always circulating it wouldn't hurt to show some camaraderie
That's exactly what I meant. You suggest he should let his picture be taken just to make a statement, because of rumours and his career is going down steadily. He can (and should) show camaraderie in training and matches! Let him live his private life the way he prefers!
i'm just saying it wouldn't hurt him to once in awhile hang out with his teammates outside of training, especially when everyone else makes an effort.
He does. There's talk that he cooks for them and eat's out with them. Heck, he's gotten his hair done with Terry and Mata. It's silly to assume he doesn't do those things just because he's not playing well. And just because some of the guys show up at the charity event doesn't mean that they all hang out otherwise. Let's remember, just because this isn't the training ground or a match doesn't mean this is a private affair- this was an event with cameras and tabloids present. This was hardly a hang-out.
Agreed. In my other comments I come off as pretty defensive about Torres, but it is less that and more defensive of celebrities having the right to a private life and not having to put on a show to prove anything for fans or having their every move picked apart.

Definitely. People seem to forget or not realize that The Sun and other papers like that were in attendance. The papers that basically rag on him every day and would like nothing more than to harass him and his family at such an event, with questions on his future and why he isn't scoring and crap. If anything, he probably did Drogba a favor by not making an appearance, as that could have detracted from what the night was really about.
