Rio Ferdinand: How To Dress 101
This is a post for the fellas just as much as it is for the ladies. So put down your PS3/Xbox controllers and pay attention, lads.
Above is Rio Ferdinand, he of England captaincy, Manchester United defending personage, abs. Rio also has a number of side hustles, one of which is his footwear and accessories line, Five by Rio Ferdinand. He headed over to Selfridges in Manchester last night to help launch the new collection.
Real Talk: This man is a bad-ass clothes horse. While we do not know whether or not Rio works with a stylist, it still takes a hell of a man to wear a navy suit with a magenta jumper, rolled up trousers, a pocket square and a cognac-coloured leather belt and shoes. Be still our hearts. This was our fashion geek out moment, Kickettes.
Real Talk to Men That Wear Clothes: It is seriously sexy when you know how to dress yourselves without having to be told. Possessing this skill will make women want to sleep with you. Dress like Rio. Bring condoms. Have a nice night.
The man is completely unattractive to me, but his dress sense is usually top notch. I don't know what happened here. This whole thing is just horrid. The belt, the sweater, the shoes…ugh. And the jacket makes his shoulders look tiny. Just…no.
The belt doesn't go with the shoes. Fail.

I am sorry, I just don't see it?! Maybe it's that it Rio, or that I am not a fan of v-necks, but I just don't see it?!! Maybe put Stevie in this(nah can't see him in it either), or switch up the shoes/belt combo. Well to each her own I suppose!

Is the jumper really magenta? It looks like fine navy and red stripes to me. Magenta would definitely be awesome too, though.
Personally, I think the belt is what ties it all together- what separates the average man from the stylin' man… the belt takes a chance and the color is goregous… and I should also admit I have a problem with personification… just sayin'

Yes, I agree with you! This sweather and belt are not the best combination! But the rest is quite refreshing for Rio! He's making progress!

I'm down with everything but the belt. It just seems to clash a bit with the jumper. But the overall look is verra nice!
