Road Warriors: SWP’s Celeb Bike Ride
Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Steve Sidwell at the Harley Davidson Celebrity Bike Ride in Chelsea. August 9, 2009.
You may be surprised to hear that this photo is not from the set of Wild Hogs II, The Denim and Doo-Rag Years. It’s actually from this weekend’s Harley Davidson Celebrity Bike Ride.
We’re curious to know if you think bike-riding ballers is a sexy thing or not? We say, sometimes. This close to the start of the season, we’d rather everyone was tucked up in an easy chair with a biscuit and a cuppa, or having an afternoon jog in a protective bubble suit, but we’re prudish like that.
Regardless, the ride was for a great cause – Shaun’s Education for the Children Foundation. FYI, Wayne Bridge took Su-Elise Nash along for the ride and Shaun-Wright Phillips took socialite/model Hofit Golan.

Why did they ave to leave chelsea

Arrr Like Three Of My Favourite People!
So which one am I commenting, ladies. Put down the martini and focus. You're not seeing double, there are actually two of the same article.
There are two identical posts about this, or is it just my computer? Anyway, I think it’s fantastic when footballers do anything for a good cause. Good for the City players. However, I’ll be a nag and point out that they are not dressed for safe riding. Sturdy boots like Steve is wearing and *proper* helmets at the least. A World War II helmet, seriously? (And let’s please not get into a debate about a biker’s right not to wear a helmet. Please??) And one of the girls is wearing sandals on the bike! Ack!
In our place, Harley Davidson bike owners also created their own foundation, which support in different charities. It’s nice to know that addiction can be a means of being a good Samaritan.
They look hilarious
but if they did something nice and had fun at the same time good for them.
Not a fan of bikes, but good picture..
Lawd hammercy!!! Who put Flavor Flav on a Harley? (Just joking…please don't get mad!)
Always great to see any footballers doing good stuff. However, I'll be a nag and say they aren't dressed properly – sturdy boots like Steve's at a minimum – and seriously, a WWII helmet??? And one of the girls wears sandals on the bike. Ack! I realize that they were probably travelling very slowly but it's just not good. Looks cute I'm sure for the photographers though and no helmet hair.
I want a Vespa for my birthday and I'm talking my husband around to it. I love the Roman women wearing their skirts and heels while on their bikes, but I couldn't do it. I value my limbs.
Wild Hogs II, The Denim and Doo-Rag Years. HA,HA,HA This is not Wayne's best photo, admit it, but my Chelsea boys are such a good loocking
WF, I must confess… I have gone on a bike ride in flip-flops. *hangs head in shame* But I love to go, so much damn fun.
as far as i know footballers weren't allowed to ride bikes. one Alan Smith has been moaning for years he's going to buy himself a bike after he finishes his playing carrier (don't know what's stopping him now..). maybe that depends on the club policy and the ride. SWP's doesn't look that life threatening though
Like the charity work… not a fan of motorcycles, but I have a bias so…
Hahahahaaha!!!! Always nice to see the charity work, but the biker look does not suit.
That first picture has successfully killed off any crush I might have had on Bridge. It's terrible. Not a fan of bikes.
Not feeling these three. But the Casillas on a Dyna, with ripped jeans (not chosen by him), a tee and a leather jacket, Ray-Bans and that authoritative rapid fire Spanish of his. Ay Dios Mio… Would work for me. I’ll stop now before this turns into a Penthouse Forum letter. LOL
bridgey!!!!!!!! aw I miss those former Blues *_*
