This is not unsual. Miguel Angel Nadal played 300 matches for Barca, but which club did his famous nephew Rafael end up supporting? Real Madrid. Plus, the image of Iker's brother Unai in a Barca shirt with the name 'Casillas' on the back is an image that I cannot forget.
I know, I can't either, and his brother is the oldest madridista and the captain too, so imagine.
the Unai thing seems like sour grapes to me when you look into it enough.
why you mad tho, Unai? oh right, your brother is more attractive,
accomplished and successful than you.
tough t*ts.
Aw its cute.
Daddy played for Real Madrid, so big whoop. Let the child wear his own football jerseys, its equal opportunity.
Xabi Alonso played for Barcelona, and yet Xabi Alonso plays for Real Madrid.
See? Calm down kickettes!
Xabi Alonso's father. Correction!
Nadal the biggest madridista although his uncle used to play for Barcelona
Beckham's kids wear a full range of kits – I've seen them in Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, La Galaxy… it actually annoys me a little bit. I have no problem with the kids wearing the shirts of the team their dad plays/has played for but the likes of Chelsea?! come on Becks! It's just insulting.
Good for daddy and the kids that he doesn't teach them to dislike other teams or players! Obviously they just love football, not one club in particular or their preferences change from time time, so what?
You can respect other clubs without buying their shirt – and in football there is unquestionably rivalries that exist- this doesn't have to be taken to extremes, but to me (especially as a spaniard) you don't wear a Barca shirt & a Real Madrid shirt – it's like an unwritten law. I imagine Manchester United fans would feel the same about Chelsea/Arsenal shirts (at least he hasn;t popped them in City/Liverpool shirts i suppose). In my op, I cannot imagine buying a shirt for a club that I didn't actually support. A football club is for life – not a few months/successful period.
Yeah, sure of course I personally don't like looking at barc, not-alone wearing it – not the intention to offend anyone -, but they are kids, it is understandable to switch for now.
i actually kind of agree a little bit.
the thought of Madrid/Barca jerseys touching the same skin is a tad disturbing lol
I support that they own a little mini addidas shop in their house, it is about fashion, not rivarly at all
Traitor!! ICYDK, Daddy played for Real Madrid Romeo – so I'm sending you a pig's head in the post. Sorry, I don't make the rules!
Also, the new Barca shirts (especially the blue & red stripey one) are hideous, whilst Unicef have been relegated to a tramp stamp on the back. Urgh…
I hope you are kidding!, to link with Figo's incident :O.
Cheap insults is all RM fans have – Barca fans have TITLES and the knowledge that we are the best team in Europe to keep us happy!!!
Oh dear, I guess you didn't get my attempt at humour – I was taking the mickey out of the fans who cared enough about 22 grown men in shorts to throw the original pig's head at Figo for switching teams. But I was serious about the new kit – the '08-'09 half & half was perfection and they should have stuck with it.
And yes, Barca do have TITLES – 21 La Ligas & 4 Champions Leagues – which sounds like a lot, until you remember that RM have 31 & 9!!
And for the record I'm English, so beyond Sergio's abs & David Villa's soulpatch, who wins the Spanish League doesn't really bother me.
Lol! Good i thought it is joke
.
About Figo, it was really something beyond rivalry he was captain and their biggest star. He surely did the unforgivable for Barcelona fans, not to excuse the pig head, nothing does lol.
what Figo did was disgusting,
and his behaviour was rewarded with a disgusting action.
not saying it was right or wrong, but i only felt the slightest bit of sympathy for him.
believe it or not, some Spaniards still hate the Portuguese for it.
it's sad.
Wow! Every club has its fans with these kind of cheap insults, including Barcelona! :/.
Generalizing Madrid fans with linkage to this is insulting to us out-there who only has respect for other clubs and players.
You're not any better yourself if you're gonna write comments like that…
cheap insults and STILL more titles than YOU have Thea!
STAY MAD.
Love it – but am twinged with sadness as I miss the UNICEF logo on our shirts – it was beyond iconic and stood for something other than money.
as much as I enjoy not being in so much debt, having a paying sponsor on a Barca shirt just does not feel right. To add insult to injury, the home shirt design is hideous. No wonder Romeo went for the away one.
Lol! Beck is sure a democrat in his home, anyway he is such a Cutie in anything.
Good choice Romeo!
