Joe Cole’s wife Carly is simply fascinated, nay, riveted by the latest Kickette site news, perhaps you’ll be too? Click through to get an update on what’s happening in the ‘hood.
Community area: for those having trouble accessing the community area of the site, first we apologize. Let’s be honest, the set up is ass. However, it’s what we’re working with at the moment so let’s stay positive. Or at least hopped up on Halloween candy.
We have been assured that all should be functioning back to normal by close of play on Wednesday. In the meantime, try the standard old chestnut of clearing your web cache and cookies and restarting your browser.
Yeah, we have no idea what that means either.

Before you click over, though, we feel we must manage expectations. Some of you may have the image of a half dozen blondes in Gucci typing away furiously on our diamonte-encrusted laptops, ensconced within a luxurious Mayfair mansion, whilst man servants dust our David Beckham portraits and serve us tea on fine china.
So, just to clear things up ahead of time: we’re not all blonde.

Oh I’d love to do that internship but I don’t think I fit the standards actually. And I have very few readable writing samples. Bummer! I need to move to somewhere with more ballers to stalk.

On the point of Torres, I got so excited when I saw the words “sick and tired of Fernando Torres…” but sadly realised that wasn’t what was being said, really. Ah. I can still keep hoping for that day! (Although something tells me that’s just not very likely, like me becoming a size 2 by the morning is not very likely)
The job would be a dream, good luck to whoever gets it! I haven’t got the time, unfortunately, but I can safely say I’d fit in with the blonde stereotype!!
Oh, leave poor Carly and her feet alone…she’s preggo, I wouldn’t want to see her do a Coleen and walk around in Louboutin ankle boots/wedges/peep-toe stilettos all the time. Not that Carly would really ever do that. But you know. She might be coming from the gym or something, who knows. She looks happy which is most important.
And if I became intern, I’d make sure that the freckled baller that made the Finest Five was Fritzi, not Nando. *evil cackle*
But do I have to let my hair go back to its natural color since y’all already have too many blondes?

I’d totally sign up for the newsletter, sounds like a great idea. I actually have no problem whatsoever w/ Kickette permeating all areas of my life.
Love to do the intern thing, but I’m in the US and all my writing consists of my livejournal… or vast research papers on mythology, literature and philosophy: not exactly popular reading material.

Carly’s shoes suck. What a power-shopping amateur, remember Ms. Rives back in the days when she was preggers?
I like Carly’s shoes, though we here in Boston are New Balance whores and will wear sneakers with anything. I wear them with skirts all the time. I think I did that in Barcelona this summer.
I’m applying for an internship even though I don’t live in Europe, assuming that I can find my sportswriting clips. They’re not online at all, and I think they’re in a box at my parents’ house.
Great to hear it! You can also submit us examples of your writing by doing a “kickette” take on a recent footy story too.

That’s great news Kickette! I’m sure there are enough ladies here that fit your requirements. It’s going to make the site even more fabulous! And yeah I’m totally up for a newsletter and anything else you’re planning to do.
Oh thank god the site issues are getting sorted, I haven’t been able to get anywhere but the home page all week!

I was liking the upper part of the photo…but the bottom is so distinct.
However, I liked the bottom-bottom part a lot more!
