Spain NT: Do You Still Have Love?

futbol la furia roja dancing singing celebrating win champions campeones

Hey, ladies (and gents, if you’re not shy) – can we gab for a second? On the DL-style? Because we have a real serious question.

At what point does all this Spanish brotherly love become creepy instead of cute?

Or, better yet, is there – or will there ever be – a point for you?

Love the Spanish NT to infinity and beyond they are just all so cute and hot and hot and cute at the same time. All that is missing in that picture is some Fabreque bromance and we so on point* claps once*

  4. ChefDi says:

Count me in…love them all, love the bromances, gotta have it! It's like my oxygen sometimes (oh thank you, Kickette)!!

This sure put a smile on my face a few days ago: https://twitter.com/R9Soldado/status/268408651247…

Even cuter…I'm pretty sure all four of them tweeted/retweeted the same photo.

Even cuter…I’m pretty sure all four of them tweeted/retweeted the photo. (I know…I follow too many Spanish players. Or is that possible?)

  7. meginha says:

I didn't hear what you said because… Ramos. Cuddles.

  8. Sarah, Madrid says:

Of course……………………………………………..Even I can see a new bromance developing in the absence of Pique and Torres, Ramos and Cesc were pretty friendly jeje

  9. Jen says:

Sweet, sexy foreign men hugging each other–I see no problem. They all have WAGs, and are reputed to be straight, so let the affection flow out of them!!!

  10. Bella says:

Bring it on! True love and cuddles – they kiss in the tunnels when in opposing sides during league matches, although so do many in Spain.
Plus, Susaeta just scored in his first match in a Spain shirt, who wouldn't kiss him!?

  11. debsen says:

I love the Spanish bromances. Iker and Xavi, Pique playing practical jokes, lots of hugging and games and smiles… And how hot was David Villa as captain?

  12. Blueangel says:

The love, respect and trust they have for one another is a joy to behold in the current football culture where there is so much hate and violence. Perhaps if more NTs (and indeed club teams) were more like the Spanish NT football would be a better game. As a certain FT9 has been known to say "Love is the most important thing" – couldn't agree with him more!!

  13. debsen says:

BTW, how hot was Villa as captain tonight?

  14. debsen says:

I love the Spain NT bromances! Especially xavi and iker, pique playing practical jokes, etc. Keep it coming!

  15. Allison says:

    They're adorable!! Always!!

  16. Akemi says:

Spain NT will never be creepy. Regardless of the skipping-around-the-pitch, buddy-wrestling, the-boat-is-sinking, and other bromance-y exercises they do for training. Especially when Ramos and Torres are involved (and instigating).

But Boss Xabier needs to be in the pic. And Captain Iker, too.

  17. Diane says:

I agree with everything said so far. I dearly love to see how affectionate they are with each other. Here in America, men would rather be skinned alive than act that way for fear of being called gay. I love the Spanish bromances because it shows a different cultural perspective that's based on real feelings and not fear. My favorite duo is Sergio and Iker who are known to give a kiss on the cheek and a pat on the butt to each other in passing. It amazes me how natural it is to them, and how sweet they are. Love them all!

    • Katie Ann says:

Seconding this entire comment. The NT is far to cute and awesome to ever be creepy, and pre-game besos between Sergio and Iker are the best.

And a thing to add: Soldado is delightful. More of him, please.

    • gin_in_teacups says:

Very well said. I think it's sad when men I know aren't that close with their friends, or are afraid of expressing to their friends how much they mean to them, out of fear. It's really wonderful to see men so open in their regard for each other, and so easily affectionate.

    • EvilBean says:

Well, if I was showering with Iker, Ramos, or the entire Spanish NT, I would naturally pat them on the butt or kiss their cheeks when I walked by them as well :-)

  18. Beth says:

It can never be too much. Their mutual platonic love is a joy to see, especially when you live in a place with such little football love stories.

    • Christina says:

That and they are Spanish. That alone means I will never fall out of love of seeing their love.

      • Beth says:

It's really odd how Spanish is synonymous not only for really really really ridiculously goodlooking, but also for being a top class bloke as well. *le sigh*

  19. Madridista14 says:

I will always love some Spanish bromancing. Just a note, this picture is from Euro 2012…Fernando Torres was not called up for the friendly that they are playing today.

    • Akemi says:

actually this is from the WC qualifiers against France (clue: Nando's hair and Soldado's presence, since he wasn't in the Euro'12 squad)

  20. Dan T says:

    Besos y abrazos por todo!!!!

  21. fruitbat says:

I’m with everyone. LOVE the love. It’s what makes me love the Spanish NT. If they’re so snuggly with each other, won’t they be snuggly with me toooooooooo

  22. @marynootoo says:

this picture in particular is heartwarming because the ramos literally looks like the ringleader and he is usually the instigator of the man hugs that bring me so much joy. he is the pony peanut butter in the spanish NT/RM manwiches. i wouldn't have it any other way.

  23. Dr. Heidi says:

If in fact someone needs it to be a little less creepy, just stick me in the middle of that Spanish bromance sandwich…..instant fix!

  24. iram1982 says:

well I can't get enough of them! They are such a good blend of every type of personality and they seem to harmonize well despite where they play professionally.
**And Kickette, no pic is ever complete of this team without Xabi or Iker being in it! :) So please find one and post it for us. thanks

  25. Lara says:

ofcourse they do.but it works with little help of san iker,no?

    p.s:Soldado attracts me ALOT!

  26. FCBforlife says:

It's waaaaaaayyy cute to be creepy.

  27. RobinS says:

There can never be too much love in or for Spanish NT. Especially if Mata is in the squad. I want to cuddle that boy so bad, he's so fluffy I want to die.

  28. black widow says:

i'm sorry, kickette — much love to you lot, but what an utterly stupid question.

the spanish national team is the source of much smiles, giggles and warm fuzzies for me. they're my happy place.

(ps: if the barca / RM players can be this genuinely and sincerely affectionate, then there's hope for the rest of the world, no?)

  29. Vegasgirl says:

I love the Spanish bromances!! Love seeing these affectionate gorgeous men together. Makes them sexy and sweet at the same time. Sport bringing out the best in men/boys makes me happy :0)

  30. Kimmunism says:

Are you serious? The bromancey nature of the Spanish NT is the reason I will always roll ‘con La Roja’! I mean, talented, sexy, touchy-feely Spaniards? YES, PLEASE!

  31. gin_in_teacups says:

What?!? No. You guys, Spanish bromances make me believe in love. They melt the patch of ice that is otherwise known as my heart.

  32. To me yes, they still love each other. maybe there is a short time break up but they will soon together :)
