Stuart Holden: Cutie With Candy
Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden continues to creep up our Finest Five waiting list. Stu is in hospital recovering from knee surgery due to an injury sustained at the weekend. everyone i know named stuart is a pretentious jerk, but stuart holden may teach me that there's hope for stuarts yet.
Oh my word. I would love to eat candy in bed with him. I won't tell you which body part I'd be eating it from. It is before 9pm after all.

I adore this kid!! He is so down to earth and such a sweetheart. I'm so sad that I won't be able to see him play with the USMNT, but I think that he is the future of the national team. Hopefully he'll be up and feeling better soon. Hate to see Stu hurt. March is apparently just a bad month for him!

He is absolutely adorable, but seeing him in a hospital bed kind of makes me want to cry a little. The fact that he's been so positive is just kind of awe-inspiring to me–he's such a good role model. If he (for some weird reason) did not have the respect of the football community before, he should have it now.
Sad for my USMNT too. I'm going to the US-Argentina game, and I was looking forward to seeing him live. Odds were that Bob Bradley was going to build our midfield around this guy and now he…can't.
P.S. He has my vote for Finest Five. Just saying. The personality, hair, and perfect face just do it for me.
well said, I agree completely. he's always been one of my favorites. It's so sad that he keeps missing out on things because of bad luck, and he makes me feel even worse for him by being so positive.

If you hear about some girl who threw herself on the field when Landon Donovan/Benny Feilhaber/Eric Lichaj (who REALLY needs some Kickette attention, btw) appeared, you'll know who it was

I love Stuart Holden so much! There is a reason this man is my favorite, and this picture shows it. He is a really great guy who always manages to stay positive, even when he has every right to be upset or bitter. The way he has handled this whole situation shows what kind of person he is. I was really looking forward to seeing him back with the USMNT this week, making that new red uniform look great. He will be missed greatly, though, and I know he will come back better than ever. He is strong, and I know he can handle it. Get better soon, Stu!
P.S. I have been begging for Stu in the finest five for the longest time now. Make it happen Kickette! You know his cuteness calls for it.

I just love Stuart! He has the best attitude! He could have bashed Evans for the studs-up tackle but he didn't and even said that it was not intentional. It's a shame that he will be out for so long! His USMNT teamates have said in the past that he motivates them to stay positive. He always seems to come back stronger though. Get Well Fast Stuart!!!!
