Style Files: Posh Goes Curly, Nude

Style observations on Mrs. Beckham: We’re very up on the curls and down on the nude polish.
We prefer the darker look seen earlier this week on Louise Redknapp. We’re such nail prudes.
Do you nude your nails, Kickettes?

Oh, dear. I'm still doing French manicures. Am I hopelessly behind the times? Please do advise.
On my fingernails, I do. I can’t stand seeing color on them for some odd reason. Probably a combination of never having the time to paint them properly and finding the perfect color to match everything. My toenails, however, have been painted black for a year and half now. So for me, fingernails = nude, toenails = dark. And I love the curls on her.. but her hair ALWAYS manages to look absolutely amazing no matter what she does to it.

yes she actually does look cute in these curls although i would never have thought it. and the nude nails look good in this photo, altough i hardly think they’d look nice in real life.
Well i generally wear a bright colour on my nails such as pink, but i sometimes opt for darker shade such as purple and sometimes black. At the minute i have french manicure paint
only cos the school wont let me wear my bright pink!!

Ooooh, I love the hair! It’s like a less voluminous version of Oprah’s. But I think I have a complex with straight hair. I have it, I don’t want it, I can’t have it any other way and thus, I love big hair.
French is good TFO! Looks nice’n'clean! Its just the nude alien-looking nails with no cuticles which is strange. A bit like wearing fawn tights…I mean whats the point?! <img src="http://www.kickette.com/images/smileys/wink.gif" width="19" height="19" alt="wink" style="border:0;" />

she looks amazing with all those soft curls. kind of reminds me of the work of a dutch master, if i remember correctly, RUBEN. maybe the photographer for this allure photo shoot was inspired by many artists and many periods of art.

I never polish my finger nails, it’s oriental medical stuff, they say it’s not good for your body circulation. especially polishing thumbs is very bad for your heart. well I believe it.

Oh hell no. Always some shade not matching my skin so I actually have the appearance of having nails and not just long nail-less fingers!
Is it just me or does she look slightly Jennifer Grey-esque in this picture?
Also, I think clear nail polish is fine if you want a low maintenance look, but nude looks odd because it covers up the white part of the nail. It makes your fingers look abnormally long and pointy, no?
She looks great with curls.
I rarely paint my nails, especially now that every girl from 10 years on seems to paint them in all colours of the palette. It was an option, now it’s a statement.
Why can’t I comment above still? Still, have to say, I prefer it down here because the characters are bigger.
I hate my nails being nude, but I have to have them like that for work, health and safety blah blah blah. As soon as I get any time off, I keep them painted, I’ve got every colour you could think of (except black, can’t work with that) and I like to clash them with my clothes! My toenails are always painted neat and I change the colour once or twice a week.
On VB: I think she looks stunning in these pictures. Sooo much better than the Marc Jacobs ‘art’ shots.
I’ve always preferred nude nails on a woman. It just looks very clean, and it allows me to appreciate her hands a little more…and I’m really a hands guy. It’s one of the first things that I notice about a woman.
Hmmm, I rather like that nude look. Quite stylish, actually. And she actually looks human in this pic.
TFO, French manicured nails are nice, as long as they are not of the thick, square, Wag variety. By the way, since I have not been here for a while, when and why did your blog change names? Was looking for it the other day, and I couldn’t find it. Got lots of catching up to do.
By the way, nice to see Vicky looking human, and pretty, and yes, a bit Jennifer Grey-ish.
My toenails are always dark, because I keep painting them dark, waiting too long to get a new pedicure, and leaving them discolored, therefore I have to put dark polish on them to cover the stains, continuing a vicious cycle.
My fingernails are usually light. I play the violin and am generally clumsy, and my fingernails chip and/or smudge easily. I’ve been known to go for a pale pink.
Right now I’m wearing OPI’s Sonora Sunset on both my fingernails and toenails because I went to a wedding over the weekend and I needed to have them match.

Ew, the nude looks a bit manky, does it not? I don't mean your nails FC43, but Vic's colour looks a bit like, well, nicotine coloured. Im obviously guessing she's actually wearing a polish at all, but I presume she is as the colour is pretty strange and flat. A pinky nude is ok though. But I'm a huge fan of Chanel's "Noir" range of polishes, particularly Rouge Noir Number 18, which I'm pretty sure is what Louise R was wearing as its exactly the same colour as I have on at the moment. I think their dark colours are the only ones that don't chip or peel as soon as you merely stroke a cat. Anyway, I digress…loving this new curly do of Posh's, particularly for the fact that you can't see the join at all!
Compared to the last picture of Mrs. B. published on kickette she looks good here. Thanks to photoshop, I guess.
