Chelsea FC: Suited, Booted and Banged Up

While his wife climbs a mountain and tries to survive without makeup, Ashley Cole decided to spend some time in prison after a charity event last night.
Soon after doing his thing with the boys at the Brompton Road Armani store, Ashley, John Terry and Michael Mancienne hit up nearby club The Collection. As is per usual around those parts, much alcohol was consumed and upon exit, Cole allegedly “launched a foul-mouthed rant”. Cue some handcuffs and three hours in the cells. He was released with a small fine and allowed to go home.
A few random notes: we love that John Terry was involved. He is always involved. If you love JT – and we know many of our readers do – you have to love that he is 100% lad through and through. For those outside of the UK, that generally means you support your boys in any and every adventure they choose, as well as assisting with pouring more beer down their necks if they’ve lost the ability to control their own movements. You’ve got to love that in a baller. It’s noble and team-spirited.
Also: what’s happened to Ashley’s face? He looks…. punchy.

A quick little add for those interested. Apparently the knob got irate because paps – employed by The Sun – took pictures of him getting cozy with a blonde. Will he ever learn? I'm putting big money on, no.

HA!! I’m sure Cheryl is thrilled and feeling that her trust in him is well-placed while she’s away.
I actually woke up to my husband laughing about this story this morning and then of course I told him it was particularly funny because Cheryl is off climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. He looked at me mystified and said, "Why in the world do you know that." My reply, "Kickette, of course!"

Agree with Elise about the fantastic job the Chelsea boys did to get behind a very worthy charity event – however it would take a knob end like Ashley to detract attention from it *smh*
I don't think I've ever hated someone I've never met as much as I do Assley. LOL@ Filthygorgeous. Knob end sums him up, nicely. You just know he got all, "Don't you know who I am?" with the police. ROFL at their response. I would've paid money to see him get thrown in the back of squad car.

Okay…moving past how fabulous John looks…Kickette, I adore you. You know this. But it would have been nice to at least get a decent mention of exactly what the Armani evening was about. It was to benefit CLIC Sargent, a national cancer charity that Chelsea works very closely with, and the global charity Right To Play. They have already raised enormous amounts of money for the charity and the event, hosted by Armani, raised another 15,000 pounds from ticket sales, plus a percentage of any Armani goods sold went to the charities, along with the proceeds from all kinds of stuff, like Chelsea suits that were signed by the team and auctioned off mostly by John himself. The entire team attended and hung out with families of the cancer patients, playing computer games, signing autographs, etc. I like to recognise my boys for the good they do. It is unfortunate that Ashley-who has issued a statement of apology on the Chelsea site- used some poor judgement in his actions at the club later that night, but it shouldn't take away from the positive contributions made by the entire team earlier in the evening.
And Chelsea has an early kick-off in two days? Very wise decision-making there, boys.
