Sylvie van der Vaart: A Note On The New ‘Do
Has Sylvie finally found a solution to the awkward “I’m growing out my hair” phase?
Rafael van der Vaart’s lovelier half stepped out to a luncheon in The Netherlands last week sporting this update to her (previously brill) short coif.
It is either fabulous or really awful; we can’t make up our minds. Do tell, Kickettes: is it too Bieber? Or is it perfectly retro and Twiggy-like?
Sylvie better hope her follicles keep working for her as she has just signed a deal with L’Oreal to be the face of their hair products in Germany. She works hard for the money, y’all.
We know most of Sylvie’s work is in Germany and The Netherlands, but we really wish upon a WAG star that Sylvie would spend more time in good old Londontown. We’re just dying to see her get papped coming out of a Tesco Metro.
Must mention: let’s recognize the fashion, for a mo’. SVDV’s Proenza Schouler blazer and Charlotte Olympia booties are making us drool and whimper nearly as much as Xabi’s bow tie. That is all.

She's so cute, and the cut suits her, but I think the colouring might be too close to her tan-in-a-can. :/ But yeah. Still adorable!

I liked the shorter hair. Honestly, I think she's one of those women (like Halle Berry) who has a lovely shaped face and looks better without a lot of hair obstructing the view. Glad to see her healthy. Go Sylvie!
i'm not a sylvie fan by any means but i LOVE the hair! best look i've seen on her ever, really. then again i much prefer short hair in general.

I love it – she's not trying to hide the fact that she went bald by adding bad extensions or a terrible wig. She looks classy, and confortable and above all healthy! If wags shown as much class!
The hairstyle is hideous! But the lady just went through chemo so I'll cut her some slack.
Final Verdict: It's crap but who cares? She's still lovely =)
I think the cut and the way she has it styled makes her look a little too much like Katie Couric. Probably would like it more if she styled it differently. The cut would work much better. That probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me. I like her outfit. I have to admit, she is pretty fierce.
I may not agree with all of Sylvie's fashion choices…her haircuts (or even her poses)…but I will defend to the death her right to wear them!!

I can't say i'm terribly keen on the new hair. Granted, i do adore sylvie–she is probably the only WAG out there whom i can tolerate–but the hair looks like a big toupé on her head that just should not be there.

I liked her hair shorter much better. More funky. This cut ages her with 10 years (although I think she really likes to get the very sophisticated look).
On her tan, she is half Indonesian, which explains it a bit and the rest is the tanning salon.
It is very bieberish, luckily she's probably the only person in the world who can pull it off, she looks fab!!

Growing out your hair post-chemo is rough. Your scalp is pretty sensitive and the texture is usually different to what you had before so I understand Sylvie's attempt to change it up while not completely ruining her hair.
I adore that blazer though, she looks absolutely lovely in it. The shirt, however, I'm not especially keen on.

Hmmm, too reminiscent of Justin Beiber. But…it's Sylvie! The woman is absolutely gorgeous, and her outfit makes up for all of it. She could probably wear cornrows and then distract everyone from them with an amazing outfit. Yup, she can pull of anything.
Final verdict: If it were anyone else, it would be a fail. Sylvie, however, just made the Beiber chic.

I think she looks great. She has this cute little pixie/fairy look that I love. She also has the right face to pull it off because I had that haircut a few years ago and only gay guys hit on me… until they realized I was a girl. Yeah, not that I minded ^_~

I'm on the fence about this hair cut. I did like the short 'do before, but the growing out phase was def awkward.
I'm leaning a little more towards not liking it, but its early still. Sergio's hair grew on me, so this could too (especially if I get to see different shots of her with it).
