The Azkals: Too Big For Their Boots?

Images: March 11 edition of Preview magazine via mykiru.com.

All of you avert your eyes. Do not let them roam across the finely toned torsos, meticulously muddy shorts or pleasantly shaped biceps of the Philippine Azkals. Fix them instead on that pile of paperwork that’s about to fall off your desk. Avert them to that geek with whom you work, the one who you’re pretty sure is stalking you on The Book. Cast your pupils on anything but these beautiful boys for they have been bad.

Last time we featured the Azkals phenomenal physiques, we knew little about them. At the time we figured it would be fair to give them the exposure such footballing beauty deserves but we made a terrible mistake, Kickettes. Our perving has rebounded on us.

Reports reach us that team coach Hans Michael Weiss has been having some problems getting all of his boys in one place for training. He claims that many players have developed a ‘rock star attitude’ due to their exposure on Kickette success’ and has even gone so far as ‘tapping up’ some alternative players.

We consider this to be a dire warning against any future objectification of the male form and are, as we speak, reconsidering our core values.

You should too.

Not surprised about this. This is so typical in the Philippines. Any halfsie who becomes known suddenly becomes popular and becomes a "star". I hope that these players remember what they worked hard for.

They look like they could be part of the wolf pack in Twilight :o

I love that so many of the Philippines' NT are half something else. I find half-Filipinos hotter tha full ones…not all the time, but most of the time. James Younghusband is very cute and I love his accent.

I hope youve seen the underwear commercial of the Azkals goalie neil etheridge. *goosebumps*

    • Azkalera says:

OMGeeee the underwear ads! Dear ladies of Kickette, Google quickly now Neil Etheridge Folded & Hung. You will not be sorry. It's too bad though about the team's lack of focus. The guys are in hot demand so their agents keep them busy off the pitch with endorsement deals. I know they're just trying to earn some money but with many from the team playing for leagues in Europe they barely get any training time together as it is. On top of this the guys have very very active social lives so I'm not surprised coach doesn't see them regularly anymore. Actually their FIFA ranking has fallen since the boys started getting very popular. Still love them but I really wish they won more often.

Ummm that guy in the middle isnt even in great shape. I see college players more fit than that…

OH Azkals are very good looking indeed! Be sure to check out Captain Aly underwear ads! ^^ you'll be glad you did!

  10. IrishBlue says:

Yay more Azkals! That's not a great attitude some of them have if that story is true though.

However I must also add that those Younghusbands are two fine male specimens, yum!

  11. Hot4Spurs says:

All very handsome, but the one in red shorts is way hotter! He looks shy so he may be a little scared of the Kickette Army at first, but he'll come around.

  12. Aqilah says:

Is that one of the Younghusband bros I see? Would love to see more of them here :D

I'm not entirely surprised to hear about this. They got so big, so fast, and the most popular players are getting very lucrative offers left and right so it's not surprising that some of them are forgetting what made them so in-demand in the first place. I suppose it's understandable, since they've been virtually ignored for years until the past 10-12 months where they've gotten all this attention. I hope they get their acts together, though. Football has finally gotten popular in the Philippines (something footie fans have been wishing for for years) and I'd hate for all that goodwill to be undone by some bad performance coming from misbehaving players.

Who's the one with the red short? :9~ hahah

    • Kat says:

James Younghusband. He's a cutie, no? His "I'm too shy to bear my torso" pose is adorable. He was a Chelsea youth-teamer.

      • Gladys says:

Wow, adorable, especially red shorts. The attitude problem, though, is disappointing. When they're not working hard sweating all over the field in very little clothing, I'd prefer to think of them out rescuing abandoned baby animals or holed up in their dorm-like bedrooms writing endless Kickette fan emails that they're too shy to send.

      • Kristina says:

Younghusband? What a great name! It suits him.
