The Friday Fit: Marco Borriello

It would appear that La Roja aren’t the only ones making an effort with their training camp arrival ‘look’. Does this mean we have to spend another Friday worshipping at the altar of Marco Borriello? Oh, go on then… (Getty Images/Zimbio)

Yip, They might not win, but damn they will look good doing… anything… oooh Borriello, I swear this man is sooooo good looking I blush every time I see him.

  3. manuela says:

Oh, hello Mr Boriello! I see that you're great, when you look like that! I'm going to Italy next week, to watch the match! My country Serbia is playing against Italy, so you Marco will be so close to me! I hope VERY close because I have to take your whole attention from the pitch because after Friday's catastrophic lost against Estonia in BG, we need to win! So, guys from my NT I expect that you do everything to win and I'll take care about the rest! With Marco, of course! What else I have to do for my country!!! Napred Srbija, do 1. mesta u grupi!!!

  4. Amandinha says:

How I wish I worked at that airport security.
"No, sir… I´m afraid you´ll have to take off your suit… and your tie… and your shirt… and your pants… you can leave the shoes, they won´t get in the way"

  5. Pam says:

So so so FINE!! This man is class, style and is super HAWT with an amazing bod, and he's italian. Thanks Kickette for this fine eye candy.

  10. Rory88 says:

    He's so hot! Fullstop!

  11. Taskeen says:

Tonight. 9pm. I believe we all have a date with Marco and the boys.

Why on earth do they set the bar so high? Why on earth is there such a lack of these superior species in my day to day existence? Sigh…

  12. VS1986 says:

I love me a Euro soccer player in a suit!!!

  13. DutchGooner89 says:

Ohhh my giddy-giddy-gosh it has finally struck me why soooo many girls think hes drop dead gorgeous i mean dayummmmmmmmm! I desreve a slap for not realising this gorgeous man before! shame on ME 4 real….Kickette you have outdone yourself this week, you have somehow managed to post exclusively about the hottest ballers out there at the moment and have catered to all of us in some way. What can i say youve made me grin like a cheshire cat, got me looking like the joker from batman lol.

  14. CarmenFoxe says:

Mmmmmmm, Borriello's got it going on! I love how the Italians arrive in such style, with such CLASS!

  15. Emme says:

Marco, Marco, Marco….So fine. So happy he got called up to the NT. I totally agree. The USMNT could seriously stand to wear some more suits. If they want more love, they gotta dress the part. Oh & btw – this has been a great week on Kickette…Boca, Xabier, Marco. What next? King Sexicano?? Meant to say Rafa Marquez. Happy Weekend, ladies! Enjoy the Euro qualifiers!

  16. Mel says:

I love how much Marco is featured on this site :D It smells like 'in your face' to those who voted against him for the finest five!!!!

He looks so fine. I live in Europe (Denmark) and I'm trying to find a living situation wich will have me living in both Spain and Italy.
I'm also having a hard time finding a man. Normal Danish guys are so bland compared to professionel Europaen footballers.

    • Lashesette says:

Danish men and most ballers look terrible. If only Olsen Banden arrived this stylish I could forgive them for yesterdays fuck-up.. Rart med flere danskere herinde, så er man ikke alene i en håbløs national fodbold situ:)

  17. Rossanera says:

You know what? It makes me really happy people are falling back in love with gli Azzurri again … as much as I love la Roja I feel like our boys were being neglected for a while … and the lust I feel for Sergio Ramos will never replace the life-long love affair I've had with La Nazionale, through good and bad … FORZA AZZURRI & VIVA ITALIA, adesso e per sempre !!!

    • BarceLisa says:

once you go italian, you never go back… I'm speaking from experience here.

    • Pique_Xavi says:

Oh even after their early elimination, my love for the Italian team is so great that I actually shed tears on their lost. It got to me. I'm not Italian, well maybe in stomach I am, lol but I love your country, your history and your men :) almost as much as I love my own country. Even our flags look the same except for our eagle.

    • diana says:

vive l'Italie…through good times and bad times :)

  18. Rossanera says:

Actually, it's not Armani; they're wearing D&G – Dolce and Gabbana are the ooficial outfitters of gli Azzurri.

  19. Leya_S says:

Oh, I'm sorry, i didn't realize this was the INT arriving at the training camp, I thought it was an Armani ad!
    They look amazing!

  20. heythereivannah says:

    Dear European Men of Football,
You make it so difficult to be satisfied with American men in general when you dress like this just to travel. Americans would have traveled in sweats and sneakers. Three piece suits coming off a plane… mmm mmm mmm. Delizioso. ;)

It should be noted that, at this rate, I'm never going to find a man. LOL.

    • Leya_S says:

      story of my life!
I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to move to Europe…

      • DeeRoma says:

You and me both girlfriend. Powerball dreams and Mega Millions wishes?

      • Pique_Xavi says:

LOL Europe is going to see a large increase in population.

        • Leya_S says:

Yeah I could never figure out why ppl are always wanting to come to the States? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's pretty awesome in the States depending on your situation, and I guess you can be dissatisfied ANYWHERE, really, but if I had to choose between the US and Europe…it'd be Europe. I guess ppl always want to go where they're not…

You can now proceed to kick me out of the country.

          • Pique_Xavi says:

I agree we can be unhappy anywhere really but even people from the states try to go elsewhere for fun even us normal folk. And yes being here is awesome and the mainly reason is because we have that not so little thing called the civil rights which is the right of everyone living here native or not. So anyway, I myself would love to live in certain places and right now Terrassa Barcelona would be one of them, lol… Seriously though I love California even though its not part of my home country. I consider it the best state in the whole US but thats just me and the other Cali people. I would love to see more 'ballers shopping at the malls though. If Barcelona comes here I will totally stalk them I know the places they tend to go and well not many people here will know who they are making them easier for me to get near them without them noticing, lol.

            • Leya_S says:

I'm a New Yorker, born and raised, so I'm a bright lights/big city/six-story-walk-ups in Soho kind of girl, and I LOVE NY. I've never been to Cali, but I'm dying to visit. That aside, I agree that more 'ballers need to come visit in the States! And you could even get closer to Barca players *with* them noticing, and it would be okay they wouldn't be overwhelmed by 1279382498 crazy ppl trying to meet them. I work in a college, and the soccer coach told me his cousin owns a restaurant downtown somewhere, and when CR7 came to the restaurant some ppl thought he was "The Situation" from "Jersey Shore". HILARIOUS. He's probably only one of the top 5 most recognizable players in the WORLD I would say, and ppl here are like "Cristiano who?" That's why Rafa Marquez and Thierry Henry can take New Jersey transit to their own games. Apparently Thierry Henry LOVES the semi-anonymity in NY. You know, if players continue to come here to retire, I'll be okay with that…although it'll be a long time before Geri's looking to retire…

              • Pique_Xavi says:

When I was younger we almost moved to NY but my dad decided it wasn't worth it after all. But I do want to visit those Italian restaurants people always talk about. You're right one small woman won't make them afraid. Most people here don't like football and the ones that do call it soccer, lol. My sister at age 12 called up the hotel and ask for a footballer player and they put get through without asking who it was or what was the purpose of the call… it was the mexican national team. I did hear about that. I saw a picture of that guy and though the hair style is similar they don't look alike. Here we get lots of famous people on baseball & american football games and in concerts and they even make movies here, Transformers' explosion scene was here on one of our many military bases. Though I should be so lucky, hot military men and hot football players??? I so wish that!!! PQ will never retire here he loves his Barcelona way too much. Although one of his favorite places is Vegas he goes there often I don't like it very much but I'm willing to head that way during summer vacations, lol.

                • Leya_S says:

I've been to Spain and visited Madrid and then a few areas of Andalucia, but I've never been to Barcelona. If I have to move there and learn Catalan and be broke bc I spend all my money on season tickets to see Barca play, then fine.
I've never been to Vegas, but I've always wanted to go at least once. Granted, I'm not really into the whole partying/gambling/drinking scene; I gave all that up when I graduated from college last year. New York's different: there is an overabundance of things to do for a large variety of interests in NY, which is why I love it. Even so, when I go on vacation, I'm a nerd…I like museums and churches, the older the better. Even though I know there's more to do than just party and gamble in Vegas, I can't see myself like dying to be there…although if Geri is in Vegas, I would totally be there in a heartbeat!

                  • Pique_Xavi says:

American twin??? LOL I too left my party days long ago and its hard for me to get into bars anyways which is not fun at all. I'm also the nerdy type of traveler. The places I would love to go are Italy, Greece, Japan, Israel, Iran, Egypt and of course Spain because of the history that is linked to my home country. I also like the churches and and museums. I try to go as much as possible and we have Balboa Park full of museums but I hate missing out our college trip to L.A. to see King Tut and it was free!!! But I had a paper due and class the next day so I couldn't go. I would love to visit Xavi's hometown so he could show me Terrassa's castle, lol. If that were only possible.

I go to Vegas to visit my best friend and I had a bf who has family there. I gambled 25 cents got back 25 cents did it again got back 1.75.. I stopped at my win. My ex's dad bet .10 and got 2000 dollars. Plus the smoking kills it for me. The risky thing I did there was take a picture with a baby tiger who tried to attack me so they trade it for the "brother" my picture looks like I'm about to be shot.

              • Kylie says:

The only reason why footballers don't really go to the states is because the states isn't a football oriented country like England or Spain..majority of the people there don't really care about football sadly.. Honestly the don't know what they are missing out on.

            • Sheck says:

I like your stalking methods sistah!

              • Pique_Xavi says:

Ha ha ha Thanks! Though I'm starting to notice my usually grammar goes out the window whenever I'm at Kickette's.

    • DeeRoma says:

I know it's probably a chartered flight but damn, would I feel under-dressed if I was on that flight?

    • i feel your pain girl, i do. I guess there is no other option but to move to Europe

    • Rossanera says:

It's not even footballers … it's European men in general … I hear you!

    • Pique_Xavi says:

Amen! I'm Mexican living practically all my life in the states and I do hear Americans always making fun of Mexicans for being too dressed up for going to dinners or movies but imagine men looking hot all the time? Its not just about a pretty face & body but knowing you can be all sexy dressed up.

      • DeeRoma says:

I've seen Americans do the reverse…jeans at a wedding reception. I would never because my mom and dad raised me better.

        • Pique_Xavi says:

LOL, oh my mom and aunts went nuts around bdays, easter, thanksgiving, and xmas… I hate pink! there is a reason why but I thank them for letting us know that even small events deserve big treatment. Flip flops are big here too, my aunts hate them when we wear them. I saw PQ with some and I was a little dissapointed, but it was on vacation so I told myself to forgive him, lol.

  21. rslkdl says:

I love that he’s ditched the jacket and just has the vest. Very nice look. Also gets him one article of clothing closer to my favorite Marco look. ;)

  22. DeeRoma says:

Why, Hi Marco. As fine as you look…I still love the other Roman in his suit.

    • DeeRoma says:

Yes, got to love him. :)

    • Rossanera says:

I seriously don't get the DDR love. He needs a shower. Like, all the time.

      • DeeRoma says:

Do not encourage my imagination. Seriously!

Honestly, he's the only DWB I heart. I'm usually all for clean cut myself.

        • Miss Butler says:

          ok,just to point out:
          he's a REAL man,on the pitch and off it…
footballers are not remembered by the number of covers they were on but by their contribution to the game and the club.

          • DeeRoma says:

Believe me, I know that. I've been a sports fan for most of my life.

            • Miss Butler says:

that's great and p.s.i'm all for him keeping the beard;D

              • DeeRoma says:

Me too. :) What I adore most is the passion for his team and his leadership skills…he reminds me personality wise of a Mark Messier or Paul O'Neill. THAT is what I first noticed. Everything else is secondary :)

                • Miss Butler says:

i agree with the comparisons, especially that of Mark Messier.
Daniele's passion is amazing, watching him play gives you an idea of what the game is really about,a real thrill.

  23. Miss Butler says:

    u made my day,love him…
