The English Premier League: Chelsea FC Win The Title
After approximately twenty first half minutes of nail biting tension, Chelsea FC stormed to the EPL title yesterday afternoon, putting eight past a 10-man Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge.
With the matter firmly out of Manchester United’s hands, a simple 1-0 would have sufficed for the Blues but we like to think they had half an eye on the Kickette coverage and scored a cheery eight to maximise their goal celebration potential. And maximise it they did.
Usually we would be happy to roll about in these delicious expressions of drenched with champagne ‘baller joy for days to come. But the combination of footy babies and wet millionaires? Mercy.
Post match, celebrations commenced at Nobu Berkeley before the team and accompanying WAGs (plus hangers-on) adjourned to Whiskey Mist. Respect to Frank Lampard’s squeeze Christine Bleakley, who fiendishly avoided drunken shouting/singing/snogging debacles upon exit by carrying a bottle of water in her mouth. A technique duly noted by the Kickette team.
Congratulations Blues! Enjoy your victory. Kudos to Didi Drogba for picking up the Golden Boot and the team for netting 100 goals this season.

Loving this post for many reasons: the fact that Chelsea won the title
(especially after I was up ridiculously early in the morning to listen to the match – damn southern hemisphere time difference!) and the cuteness of all the bubbas– particularly the ones that are sleeping! Plus a fatherly Joe Cole and Michael Ballack are always appreciated. 
My lads won. It was EPIC. Thank YOU Chelsea! And Frank and Isla [not Luna, Luna is older and has longer hair] – the most adorable way to have your ovaries exploded
yay so happy! Chelsea definitely deserved to win the League this year
and i'm happy that over-hyped Liverpool didn't even finish in the top 4
good riddance.
although i don't really like Tottenham in the least, at least they deserved their place.
i'm also glad Man City didn't finish top 4–they were really starting to develop quite the ego, weren't they?!
i'm little disappointed in Arsenal's League finish though
i seriously think we could have finished second had Cesc not gotten injured…

I agree it was so well deserved I watched that game and MU game at the same time. I was so happy they lost the titlle, and they said they didn't need Christiano " hotness" Ronalo goes to show they lost that spark when he left for real madrid. As for the kids they are all so gorgeous especially the petr Cech kids. Deco has a really beautifull daughter.
United scored more goals this season than last when Cristiano was part of the "team".
Plenty of people said United would struggle to finish in the top 4 this season (including some regulars around here). We finished one point from the title, while our first choice defenders and goalkeeper played together for about twelve games total this season.
The critical difference this season was that Chelsea did the double over all major rivals which is a noteworthy achievement.
HA, “lost our spark” yeah, not quite. it was ONE POINT. Good riddance to Ronaldo, he was NOT a team player anymore. END OF.
Congrats to Ancelotti though, that was a great accomplishment to pull Chelsea together in the way he did.
