The Sizzle Query: How Much Is Too Much?
Image: Jan Kruger/Getty Images Europe.
There’s nothing like a toned set of abs to get a healthy Kickette going. But as we learned during Mesut Özil’s ‘pouch’ phase, a taut tummy isn’t the be all and end all in your list of potential hubby requirements.
So where do we draw the line? We spent a bit of time examining this photo of Nottingham Forest’s George Elokobi celebrating a goal last weekend, and while we fully appreciate the level of work that goes into a set of muscles like this, they make us feel slightly fearful. Sharing a sofa with a man whose body resembles an antique armoire wouldn’t be comfortable and while we can’t see his thighs, we’re pretty sure they chafe when he walks.
Are these simply the minor moans of women too spoiled for their own good? Or are our fears of being crushed to death by old fashioned furniture very real to you, too?
Can a footballer be ‘too fit’?
PS: Here’s a gratuitous shot of The Ramos shirtless to get the discussion going…

This is hard earned muscle not those of the "juiced" variety. It's not too fit as it looks damn good on him! Bring on the muscle as long as it's not the "juiced" variety!
Was never one for overly muscled men. I imagine somehow they're just not comfy to lay against. Too bulky. And I'd be damned if I didn't admit to ogling shirtless Ramos every once in a while (lol) but for me, hands down, Özil is delish! Am a sucker for v-lines and that boy has got a set on him that's mesmerizing! XD
No mention of Cristiano?!
I am shocked!
HE has got the perfect body: chizzled muscles in all the right places, but curves in the others (ASS!).
Elokobi – too much….Sergio – juuuuuuuuuuust right.
My guideline….if it seems like an air hose got inserted into the neck area and someone inflated the man, then it's too much. Elokobi doesn't conjure this image, so I'd say he wears his muscles well.
my vote is for The Ramos, face, body, abs, all of it … what else ya got for us on him, some of us are just so greedy …
The Ramos is perfect, as far as I'm concerned. Elokobi is a bit too bodybuilder for me, but he also looks like he has more meat on him than Ramos, thus making it more likely that every single muscle in his body will have definition…? I'm not really sure if that's how it works but whatev. Ramos = Bueno.
Elokobi is over the top. I'd prefer under-muscled to over-muscled. Given the choice between a guy who is a little too pillowy and a guy who is a little too cinder block-y, I choose the pillow, every time.
I have to say, though, that The Ramos is perfect – I've never been one for his face (sorry, all; consider it one less person with which to share him) – but he has the perfect amount of muscle tone. I can see its there and I can see that he takes care of his body, but I'm not afraid that I'm going to come second fiddle to his weight machine. And I'm not afraid he might pop me by accident when we're cuddling.
He is too muscly for me, he looks more like a weightlifter that a footballer. The Ramos has a good body, but I prefer him more for his face. I like Ozil and Benzema body wise. Ozil looked good when he had that little belly too, and it is always nice to see a man with a good body that is not covered in tattoos.
Im afraid belly gone…for good…;) http://headbandsandheartbreak.files.wordpress.com…

Oooh a bit too much for me too!! I like Ozil's or a bit sculpted from natural althleticism, but this is too much!!
Every time I comment from my phone, it never shows up online. WTH?
Too much is never enough. I'll take abs on abs on abs.
i second that!!!! lol
I'm not one for big muscles. I'm all for the likes of Mesut or Villa. Or Beckham, yum… Not those bulgy big ones. But I'm not rigid in any way. Take Puyol for example. He's pretty big and ripped, but I love it.
Yum, Sergio's abs. But I must object and put in a good word for Mesut. Just look for photos from the same RM that the pic of Sergio is from, as well as the recent Germany game. The boy has developed some admirable abs and delicious hip dips.
I know madre mia!! That germany shirtless moment…Hello Bambi
Don't tease us Rose – Send some links!!

Enjoy !!!
Nice one Natalie. Yum yum for the Sergio bum! Mesut's practically taking those shorts off, what is he doing?? I don't like the hip dips – They make me think of Ken dolls, they are a complete turn off for me. Bring back Bambi with little sticky out belly.
Someone got here before me, haha! She gave you Mesut, and some nice Sergio bootie too!
Well a bit of definition is always nice but Elokobi is a little too bodybuilder-esque for my own personal tastes. Yoann has it all though, lucky boy. Just the right amount of muscle to leave me speechless while also having the most beautiful face *sigh*.
On the other hand, The Ramos may have the body of an adonis but his face does zero for me (sorry girls!)
Agreed on The Ramos… that's what they make Nando for! Girls like me.
second the Ramos opinion. He has a FINE body.
The Ramos´ body is simply perfect! Elokobi is too much.
^^this
Wow!!
Woooo Nottingham Forest <3 my second love!
No kickettes theres nothing wrong with excess muscle. Saying that a guy is TOO toned, is just picky!
That's why I love Ramos because his abs are just musclar enough to be hot!! I don't like Elokobi in matter of fact these type of bodies scares me, I don't find at all sexy or hot!!____yeah I agree with Kickette, I love cruves as well, pipita booty anyone?____

I can understand that the Ramos face is not everyone’s cup of tea..but that boys body is perfection. Lean and muscular deliciousness!
Elokobi is a bit too muscular for my liking. Ramos, on the other hand, is perfect!
i dont know ladies… i dont like th eelokobi-muscular type, neither the ramos-toned type of guy.. im more into man-curves (ex higuain!!) thats my weaknes..
)
*weakness
Sort of agreed.. I like a player that looks toned but I don't really care for when their muscles look like they require daily trips to the gym and/or shots of juice (ugh). Call me picky, but I like muscularity to look more like it is the result of whatever a guy does from day to day… sort of effortless. Granted, I know that all footballers spend copious amounts of time in the gym, but I think some guys balance it well. I like a little junk in the trunk and a healthy looking muscle to fat ratio. I don't mind a little plushness to snuggle up to.
i.e. Lance Parker, Bocamuffin, and Christian Tello! (I really like his stomach area…
exactly!but friom what i see, we are a minority!! i like raul albiol, pepe reina or dirk kuyt's bodies (just the bodies!!).. or even Nando's back in 2008 when he was playing for Liverpool and he wasn't so thin.
