The Break Up: Frank Lampard and Elen Rives

As we reported on Saturday, Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and his long term girlfriend, Elen Rives, have ended their relationship. After nearly eight years together, two children (Luna and Isla), one secret husband, an affair or two, and an on-again-off-again engagement that lasted for an eternity, it’s finally over.
So, let’s get to the details as we know ‘em: although tabloids are reporting that Elen was the one to call things off, that doesn’t match up with several whispers we’ve heard – that Frank actually pulled the plug.
News broke officially of the split this weekend, but the relationship has been over for several months. Elen’s infamous forty bikini vacation of ’09 took place when she was already a single woman.
In terms of arrangements, Frank has already purchased a property for Elen and the children. Even though the two weren’t married, she’ll be entitled to a sizeable (but not completely insane) chunk of Frank’s £25 million fortune.
We do know there were no third parties involved over the break up and things are definitely on reasonable terms between the two, who were spotted out together at the cinema last night.
We’re really going to miss Elen. It’s the end of a wagtastic fashion journey of pain and pleasure (mostly pain) (okay, complete and total agony), and we’re not sure that we’re ready to let go just yet. Not to mention, picking up a YSL bargain at West London charity shops just got a whole lot trickier.
I hope Elen has a good lawyer, for the girls’ sakes. And I hope they find happiness with other partners. Something to look forward to anyway – Frank squiring some new lady loves around London while we observe and judge.
at least Frank is still….attractive and the lovely, adorable girls will have their daddy around often. it’s good that things didn’t end bad between them.
and yes, Carly will make sure we don’t lost any LOLs with her fashion.

i's still shocked…. i was always half-expecting to open this page and find out she's pregnant with bubba no 3. i thought they were happy(seemed to be in that video….) i predict they'll be back together again ntime for the 2010 world cup…. poor luna and isla….

If the tabloid reports are true, that “the passion died” in their relationship, then good on them for ending it instead of “staying together for the children’s sake” and being utterly miserable and hating each other… That’s a horrid environment for children to grow up in.
I totally think he will slut around for a couple of months, realize that he made a huge mistake, grovel, she will torcher him with a few well documented dates, make him grovel more and then married within six months.
he has never been on his own.. culture shock is coming, aong with missing the little things every day that his daughters do. He will not make it long alone. once the sleeping around get old, He will realize that with no mom and no family, he did something wrong

Aw, I almost cried reading this because I'm a major weeper. I adore Frank and feel sorry for him, but it has got to be Luna and Isla that I feel the worst for. I don't think we've seen the last of Elen. There's gotta be something to bring her back, maybe with Frank, maybe without.
Sounds like they're staying close for the kids. So that's nice.
Is that true???????? Elen and Frank Split???? I was read a lot of “unproved story” about them. Spokerperson of Lampard said it????? I think there just only one spokerperson for him and he is Steve Kutner and his name always writed by media if something about Lamps announced. But the other version said family pal’s has confirmed the story, which is true??????? Why people and media so mad about them. I saw on some photos Elen looks “okay”..Or this story blowed just because Lampard and Elen won’t share the wedding day to media…. Oh my God!!!! I always hope they will okay together….
I like Elen, Im going to miss her.
She’s one of the few who doesnt treat her kids like fashion accesories and seems relatively normal.

Oh! Poor Luna and Isla!! I feel so awful for them. I think that they will take it hard…even though they have no idea what is going on since they are so young.
It still sucks. 
I hate when couples break up and there are children involved.
Hmmm, I also wonder how Elen could forgive the infidelity…esp. when she was at home with a newborn! It’ll be very interesting to see if they do stay so friendly and maybe get back together. I’m not sure it’s 100% over. They have such a long history and 2 sweet children. I hope for their sakes they can work it out eventually. Besides, I’ll really miss Elen’s “fashion”!

Hmm…I'm in with the "not really, ACTUALLY" over group. Frank does not do alone. I think she'll go on like, ONE date with some other guy and he'll be all TAKE ME BACK!!! Unless he meets a GORGEOUS Kickette to take her place quickly- to the starting blocks, ladies!!! (oh, and PS Kickette, seriously, ex-wag, bubba momma is SO still kickette worthy, 'cause I need a good laugh every now and again…)
Like I said on the other post, my impression was he did the dumping. Not that it matters. Still two kids involved.

So they have been broken up for awhile now, yet we've seen no picks of Frank "slutting around" town. I'm thinking he's gutted over this and taking his time before he gets back out there. And please Kickette, unless they get back together, no more Elen pics!
Looks like Love Lamps campaign to remove Elen from the front Kickette page was kinda successful — in the long term, anyway. Ah, you gotta find levity in such a sad time.It's a sad situ because of the little girls but it appears that they won't be away from their father which is good.
