The TTO: Habib Beye v Michael Ballack
Welcome to another round of the Thursday Thigh Off, please make yourself comfortable.
Up first is Habib Beye, a French/Sengalese defender for Newastle United. Some random HB info? He has his own theme song by way of the terraces, sung to the tune of Happy Days. (Strangely we have no reports of any songs specifically dedicated to his quads, but we’re sure someone is working on that.) When Habib first joined the EPL, he said he had to work to bulk up in order to deal with the physical side of the English game. He’s also mates with TTO winner Didier Drogba.
Habib’s competition comes by way of Germany: Michael Ballack. Mr. B has just been offered a three-year deal to stay with Chelsea and to continue to flex and contract his thighs exclusively during that period. Michael gives good height – he’s 6″2’, he plays in midfield and he has his own website if you’re interested in spending some clicking time elsewhere.

I’ve always liked Ballack and don’t get why everyone, including Chelsea supporters hate him so much- well I guess he finally gave them a reason to start cheering for him.
Anyways, I vote for Micheal Ballack, nothing against Habib though.

Ballacks thighs are impressive, but i couldn’t focus/concentrate on them long enough- my eyes kept being drawn upwards to see if those horrific nipples were on show again! I’m scarred for life….

Oh Didi, I did love him, he was great!!! Xabi will be with us next season and firing away as we know he can. I wanna see more goals from his own half
Avenath, I agree he hasn’t been the same since his first season, but I think it’s more due to him being so awesome that one year. We expect more from him because of that. I think his role in the team has changed since then, plus he no longer has Didi Hamman alongside him.
I think this season has been rather stop-start for him due to injury. I have complete faith that he will be back to his best next season!

Deanna, thanks for the article…it really does give me hope that Xabi will eventually stay…but, am hoping that for his sake and our team’s sake, he has a return to form next season….i love him, but he has been a shadow of himself for the last 2 seasons…i can only hope he will be the powerhouse midfielder he once was…COME ON, XABI!!!

At the bottom of the article, Rafa says “Xabi is our player, he has a contract, and Barry can play 3 different positions so it’s not a problem”
Now I know that it’s possible Rafa might change his mind if someone(i.e Juventus) comes in with a good offer, but it’s something to hold onto, isn’t it?
*sighs* I try to imagine Xabi in a jersey other than the Liverpool one, and I just can’t. I’m desperate to hear any kind of good news.

Oh hooray, Kickette! I get back to my desk after an hour-long, extremely nerve-wracking job interview, and beautiful thighs await me. This day is getting better by the minute!
Based on extreme close-ups of the four pictures, my vote is going to Habib Beye. The last photo of Ballack (sans shorts??!!) was mighty impressive, but I liked the two shots of Beye’s thighs better than the two shots of Ballack’s.
Also, Newcastle’s my #2 team after my beloved Man United, so I love to share the Magpie love. Aoife, you really should pay more attention to Newcastle. There are some hidden gems up there!!
However, I will desperately try not to hold Beye’s friendship with Le Plongeur (my nickname for Drogba, meaning ‘The Diver’ in French) against him. We all have one skeazy friend that we love but should be ashamed of.

coz there’s something about ballack just can’t stand ……

I can’t speak for others, but I really do prefer Habib’s body type. I’ve always found Ballack to be too much of a teutonic beefcake… def not my type. And that extends to the thighs.

Having exhausted my arabic linguistic skills, I’ll just say I’d never heard of Habib Beye before, but he wins by virtue of not being Ballack. Also habibi = romantic term of endearment in arabic. I hear the word all the time when I shop in the local Palestinian-owned corner stores… not directed at me, but in the music playing.
Anyhoo, Habib(i)‘s thighs are worthy in their own right.
