The TTO: Xabi Alonso v Joe Cole
It’s two of our favourites in the Thursday Thigh Off this week: Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso going quad to quad against Chelsea’s Joe Cole.
Before we weigh up the options, let us remind everyone that this is strictly a visual competition. Please try not to let your love or hate of a particular team influence your ability to view these athletes as objects.*
We have always had a soft spot for Joe Cole – sure, some may argue that he has a large head, he wears his shorts too high, etc. We pay them no mind. Mr. C, we like. That said, we are becoming increasingly concerned by the bald patch we saw on the back of his head during the recent CL games.
Also: one has to appreciate a man who occasionally stands against the trend of those bastard underthing-thigh blockers so many ballers are wearing as standard these days.
As for Xabi, his spot on our finest five (to be updated next week) continues to be well deserved. He’s Spanish, he’s sexy, he barely speaks English. Works for us.

* The suggestion to show only legs and thus create a more anonymous (and fairer) thigh off has been noted. Our issue is that without heads and upper torsos, the images lose a little of their glory and become a tad random-leggish for our liking.

Ive just spent ages tryin to narrow my ‘finest god knows how many’ down to 5 and its not happening!!!
Just a thought girls, but at the end of the season my friends and i have a ‘Footy awards party’ where we get very drunk and decided the best a**e, top thighs etc of the year.
Also (and this is the important bit!) we each pick a dream team of our most gorg ballers (gk, 4 def, 4 mid, 2 strik) which is far easier than narrowing it down to 5!

I must say I’m thrilled with the representation of Liverpool players in the recent thigh offs. It’s nice to know my boys have quality thighs, even if they don’t win every week.
On the leggings note, Fiorentina players have been known to rock the leggings, notably Montolivo. It’s an awful sight and doesn’t do their thighs justice by any means.
I would say tehy’re both good looking, but purely talking about thighs? Joe Cole, Xabi’s look weird in the picture of him and Joey together, idk the back of his thigh looks strange…so Joey Cole gets my vote!!

Strickly on the legs.. Joey C. If it were overall body and hair (I too was seriously confused by the big-ass bald spot which I saw from across a crowded resturant at lunch) Xabi wins hands down but Joey C is rockin the thighs hard
Though I do appreciate the shorter shorts that Joe Cole wears, I only appreciate them from an aesthetic point of view—meaning, I’d appreciate it a hell of a lot more if it was someone I fancied who was wearing them.
