Thursday Thighs: Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard, one of the standout thigh-masters of our generation, has been injured.
Where?
No, not the groin, which is the current ‘baller injury trend de jour. He’s done in a thigh. But, really, wasn’t this only a matter of time?
Lampsy was gambling with his thigh-health. Evenings out in jeans that could barely accommodate the quads, hamstrings and in-betweens, training and playing recently in restrictive base-layers that don’t allow said muscles to be out in the sunshine, available for all to see and admire? We’re amazed it didn’t happen sooner.
And on that note, let’s take a minute for visual flashback reflection. It’s what Frank would want.

…and the day just gets better and better. Dammit. Poor Frank. And poor John, because now he’s all alone. Okay, I know he’s not alone- he has friends in the England squad, but it’s just not the same. I hope the injury to Frank’s beautiful thigh isn’t that serious and that all it requires is some rest. What a shite day. But a lovely selection of Frankie thigh pics, Kickette. Well done, and thank you.

The only thing more distracting in this picture is Frank's tongue. I think it gets as much camera time as the rest of Lamps, but I do appreciate it.

I’m not a general Lampsy-lover, but that boyish grin with the blue sweater is doing things to me. That sparkle in his eyes could only be Terry-induced. Correct me if I’m mistaken, but that looks like the beck of John’s head. (This is how I know I’ve spent way too much time on this site. I can’t remember the last time I watched a Chelsea/England game.)
