Transfer Totty: Marco Borriello Goes To AS Roma

Images via straight up serie a. Thx Liz!

We’re suffering from a case of the “shoulds”, Kickettes. We really should set aside a good few paragraphs here to advise you of the latest developments in the footballing career of Marco Borriello.

You see, Marco has just agreed a loan deal that takes him from AC Milan to rival Serie A side Roma. If all is well, he will sign on with Roma permanently at the end of the season for approximately 10 million Euros.

But unfortunately we haven’t been able to stop drooling, dribbling and discussing these pictures of Marco arriving at Roma since they plomped into our inbox this morning. As such, we’ve done roughly er… nothing since.

We’re kind of hoping that you will be so distracted by his delicious jawline, surprisingly appealing quiff and sensuously parted lips to note our indolence. Marco makes bad look good, yo.

Meep.

Thank you kickette … man the guy is hot, now we enjoy the Roma team a whole lot more, Totti, De Rossi and the yummy Borriello… life is good.

  2. Stephanie says:

    Ciao Liz,

I'm also from Sydney fresh off the boat from Milan… and married to a Sicilian. I could never be a tifo for A.C., because of the Berlusca, but mamma mia I think it's time to start being a fan for Roma. Borriello che figo.

  3. RedAne says:

WHAAAT? Reeeeeeeeeally? Will my wildest dream come true? Totti and Borriello playing together? I guess this is a bit too much hotness for my poor footballer loving heart…

  4. Back in the days (when there were Kaka, Gourcuff, Tomasson, Shevchenko, and Marco) I used to <3 MILAN. But now it seems like everybody left. It's so sad that Marco never gets a place in Milan. Good luck in ROMA!

    • Lisa says:

go back even further: Van Basten, Gullit, George Weah, Roberto Baggio, Savicevic, Di Canio, Boban, Kluivert and Marco Simone. They all leave. Unless their name is Maldini, its a fact of life.

  5. Liz says:

Here you go ladies. More Marco goodness.

  6. Liz says:

And he couldn’t go to Juve? Or RM? Or Sydney FC so he could be close to me?

Oh Borri, you are SO. DAMN. FINE!

    Chiamami bellino mio!

  7. Mel says:

Now that’s hot hof material for you right there!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Rosey says:

Can Marco have his own Category?? Can we vote and make that happen? :)

  9. shabam says:

Well it’s about time! I’ve been waiting for this Marco post for, what, 48 hours now? ;) I was honestly a little afraid he wouldn’t look so great in Roma’s colors (important things!), but Tina’s pics below have me convinced otherwise. Rawr.

And I don’t mind the too tight jeans. At all. The rest is spectacular. I want a bite. Rawr some more.

  11. Tina says:

Che bello! And he’s joined my favorite football team, its a good day to be a female romanista.

I’m partial to some of these pictures below and willing to share in the drooling.

Your fave is my fave Tina. He's laughing at the 10m Euros.

Actually he looks really happy and that makes every girl that has (or wishes she had) "22" tatooed on her VERY happy!

    • littlegirl says:

but why i can't find a juventus fan?:)

ma possibile che non c'è nemmeno una juventina!:)

      • Liz says:

        Sono una juventina!!!

Marco è bello da morire!! Queste foto sono bellissime!!!!

      • Johanna says:

Juventus is actually my second favorite team. I've been shocked by their moves also but in a positive way. Glad they added Quagliarella but in a way I'm sad about Trezeguet and Camoranessi.

Thanks for the beautiful pics Tina! My favorite is the last one also. I wonder if he likes the jersey or if he's complaining about the colors. haha He just feels weird I guess.

      That first one is UNF.

  12. WagInTraining says:

every time i hear ‘Roma’ I immediately think ‘Roma Ro-mama Gaga Ooh La La!’ but that’s besides the point…boriello is a babe.

  13. Dee says:

This one came out of nowhere but it works for me. The excitement both fans and bloggers alike has amused me to no end.

  14. Amandinha says:

daayum. boy’s looking fiiiiine! Loving the ‘do!

  15. MrsNesta says:

When in Rome, do Marco :)

  16. Aisha says:

Let’s look on the bright side. Everytime we watch a Roma match, we can see Marco, Totti, Luca Toni and De Rossi. The Fantastic (Hot) Four!!

    Love you Marco!! x

    • Lisa says:

Roma just took the lead in the Serie A-ttractive table.

    • Rossanera says:

I am still upset and cannot see a bright side. He was a product of the Milan youth system … it makes me sad that he’s just been so unceremoniously given the boot.

      • Lisa says:

chin up. great Italian players have a habit of staying in Italy. If he's good enough he'll be back.

    • Dee says:

Luca Toni’s at Genoa. But the other 3 work.

      • Lisa says:

I like this spreading out of talent in Serie A. This may be the most interesting season for a while with Inter being TSO-less, AC Milan has a killer team. Now if only Juventus can get their act together…

        • Dee says:

Well, if they stop with the injuries…although Alessa having more playing time works for me.

          • Rossanera says:

There should be a "like" button for Kickette. If by Alessa you mean ADP, I like this comment.

            • Dee says:

Yes, I meant ADP. I saw Saturday's game and almost melted watching his determined striding all over the pitch. If I had been home alone, I would have squealed.

              • Zhenya says:

Ooh, I “like” this comment, too RE:ADP!
My husband is overseas now, so I can squeal all I want when I watch the trio of Totti, De Rossi and Borriello! Can’t wait!

                • Dee says:

Actually, Juve was Sunday. ROMA was Saturday and I was squealing, rooting and just my normal self.

  17. jellenp says:

Is he wearing jeggings and carrying a murse?

  18. Lisa(that lusts afte says:

    I melt…I melt everywhere :

  19. Mrs.Higuain says:

    Marco is simply divine.

  20. Emme says:

Aisha – I think that might be a little harsh…..ginger pig? :) He's a ginger with a larger nose than most, I admit, but he is still my number one. That does not mean I do not think that Marco is something fine. It's almost ridiculous how fine he is. I blame Kickette for always pitting Marco v. Xabi. :) I love Marco's new hair – very hot

  21. marielinha says:

This is nothing but sweet goodness. Now I don't have to cheer for Zlatan's team. And, IMO Roma's kit will be ridiculously hotter on our boy Bori than the Milan stripes were. Sure hope Totti gets the urge to tear some shirts off like in this pic.

  22. Rossanera says:

Also, Kickette, speaking of Milan (I'm not sure where I should post this), today is the adorable Alexandre Pato's birthday.

We all need to wish him un buon compleanno and send him cake, si?

  23. Emme says:

I still cannot believe he is not in the F5. It's just wrong
