Tuesday Torsos: Robert Pir
There was quite the debate at Kickette HQ over whether this photo of Villareal’s Robert Pires was acceptable could be deemed as fair use today. Certainly, Pires qualifies for the Tuesday gratuitous half-nudie shot – he is a footy player and he has removed his clothing, but… would our readers appreciate?
The general consensus is this: for every five readers that do not and will not appreciate, there will be one reader right-click saving for a rainy day and dreaming of cuddling under that bear skin rug.
Whether or not they’ll admit it publicly is another thing altogether. Be brave, fur lovers! Be brave.

hmm, quelle surprise, i’m in the minority once again… i *LOVE* this man.. and have loved him since god knows when… and i’m not ashamed to admit it, yes i SOOOO would hit that.. being slightly older, i dig a bit of fur.. sorry girls, men do it for me, not boys… thank you EVER SO dearly kickette… ; )
I don't immediately dislike it, but I wasn't "oh yeeeeeeeaaah"ing either.
No thanks, Mr. Pires. Like some of the posters before me, I appreciate his effort to look manly, but this man has NOTHING on our Giggsy. Ryan has the best hairy chest of all footballers. (Anyone else think this Pires guy resembles Van Nistelrooy in the face a bit?! Just askin'…)
Sorry..too hairy for me =S
OH Íker no. No no. No, bring me the sixteen year old boys instead. I like them smooth as a babybottom. Like Nando. Bald all over. ALL over.
Hey, I do not mind some hair on the chest at all! No one works the hairy chest like Sean Connery circa Dr. No though. Mmmmm… Although not repulsive at all, it's not that exciting. I'd say he looks like your average dude. Well, your average in-shape dude. It's nice to have a bit of variety though, thanks Kickette!
I prefer Giggy's fur and torso. I agree with Erin, BR and Moonie, good just not good enough!
hmmm, chest hair is ok with me if it's minimal (ie Xabi!!!). but I think the problem here is that this man is just not attractive nor in shape, with or without chest hair.
Robert just isn't doing it for me. I never realised I had a chest fur prejudice until now – and it upsets me greatly. I fear it will stop me from appreciating some fine torsos in the footballing world.
It’s not bad, but I’m not too excited about it.

Hmmm. While I do appreciate a little fur, I'm still not feeling this photo. He's got a scrawny old man kind of look going here. Not for me.
Mmm. Yay!
i appriciate N approve..
.)
Eh, I think he’s got it. I approve.
Ew. *lip trembles* I'm not usually one to complain much about chest hair, but he's got icky abs.
I agree… While this guy just doesn't do it, I like that some players go against the whole shave/wax/whatever-every-hair-on-you-body thingy, it's killing me! Fabregas is the perfect example with his half hairy half non-hairy arm, that's just plain weird.
too many smooth chested me in football…needs me a little manly hair every now an again, esp to balance out Sergio from yesterday…
i do not love the fur but i love him.
He gets some brownie points for trying, but it's just not good enough.
I am very, very plesantly surprised.Good work, Kickette!!
I agree. I appreciate the fur, but he's not doing it for me.
I keep coming back to look at this picture. I worried for my sanity.

Sadly I like it… there is something refreshing about a footballer that doesn’t want to look like a sixteen year old boy.
I dont usually like the “fur” effect but on him YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!!
Giggsy’s fur is sexay but this guy can’t work it : (
a little fuzz i dont mind but once the hair starts to cover youre whole torso now thats just plain wrong lol
I agree with Erin too. While I love a little fur this just isnt a good enough body.
No thank you… I don’t like the hair or what’s underneath it…
