Twitter Talk: Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaká

Cristiano Ronaldo Kaka

We understand that shirtless a Ronaldo or a smiling-with-pornstache Kaká doesn’t make our footy reality a better place, but at least we’re attempting to fight the urge to swan dive into a gallon of mint choco chip ice cream. Image via @Cristiano.

  30. Y says:

Very nice…my depression will be worsened as Portugal (and Cristiano) are likely to exit the WC on tuesday against Spain, *sigh*.

    • natalie says:

i think that's a good thing because spain's entire team (especially torres and navas) is so much more eye candy than ronaldo

    • l says:

why is everyone so sure about portugal being the ones going out. i mean if you are just judging on pre world cup form then people would have a point as spain looked very strong and portugal looked likely to have qualified but 3 wc matches that has all been turned on it's head a bit.

Spain haven't convinced really at all with only 4 goals scored in their group (which for their large forward talent is a let down) and 2 goals coincided (sorry iker – but you haven't looked comfortable in the wc so far – perhaps time for valdes to come in)

portugal on the other hand has the best defense of the wc so far based on their first 3 results (though they played defensive against a 3/4 strength brazil team to get there point which could explain that a bit) and scored 7 past n korea (yes i know that n korea have a really low fifa ranking and they played more defensively against brasil (aiming to hold out for draw) and ivory coast (restoring some pride after portugal) whereas with the portugal match they were going for the win to give them a chance of qualification (a draw was no good for the n koreans) and left space open for the portuguese to use as a result – but you still need a good team to take advantage of these things)

add onto that that the so called underdogs are having their day in the wc (group A apart from france, group F apart from Italy, group c for the most part apart from england, germany vs serbia, switzerland vs spain) being tagged the underdog for portugal in this match the way things are going in the wc may be a good omen for them. add onto the the spanish coach doesn't seem to have high hopes – http://www.timeslive.co.za/sport/soccer/article52… (reverse psychology perhaps) i'd say this match is on a knife edge, 50:50.

if spain turn up and play to there max then they'd win, anything less and portugals strengths will win through – i can't call it – esp with all the other goings on so far (i'll be shocked though if one of these teams win by more than 2 goals though – i think it will be close)

kaka needs to get his eyebrows done

  32. Violets says:

This makes my depression over the USA outcome slightly more bearable.

    • elizabeth says:

Me too, these two are adorable. Although I’d still take Donovan over Cristiano anyday.

      • aps says:

Lol. Donovan doesn’t hold a candle to ROnaldo.

        • Ella says:

To be fair, NO ONE holds a candle to Cris! :)

          • elizabeth says:

I know, I know. Physically CR has the advantage but I’ve had a strange obsession with Donovan for almost ten years… it all started back when I was a teenager. :)

  33. iida says:

Well, a little bit of bromance always cheers me up.

  34. cescristeven says:

OOOOOOMMMMGGGGGG!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting ages for this! it was the only reason i sat through the brazil-portugal match…

  36. Ella says:

Shirtless Cris can ease all my troubles. Thanks Kickette! I now have the strength to go on. :)

  37. simone says:

    I love this picture.

  38. Y says:

lol, I disagree too. Cris is all the eye candy I need. Plus he’s more entertaining on the field. I hope he gets a good game, especially if its his last.
