WAG & Bag Watch: Yolanda Ruiz

Modelled by Pepe Reina’s wife, we give you the Saffiano Lux Double-Zip Tote Bag by Prada.┬áNummy, yes?

Her bag – not her husband, Kickettes.

And it’s a steal at just 1,250 quid ($1,960)!

Wow, where did this indignation come from? Y'all know this website is about footballers & their lifestyles, right? So gross consumption of overpriced designer goods is kind of the norm. And of all the WAGs to set you off, why Yolanda? She's hardly the worst WAG offender out there. Where is all this criticism when Kickette writes about Victoria Beckham or Coleen Rooney or Alex Curran?

  2. Nancy says:

I'll take one Pepe rather then one of those bags!!! LOL ;D

  3. black widow says:

i agree it's outrageous and even if i could afford it, i wouldn't. not my thing. but who's to say pepe and yolanda don't also donate some of their money to various charities and feed underprivileged children as well? who's to say it has to be an either/or situation? i think footballers are generally overpaid, but their careers are shorter, their injury risk is high and they are skilled/talented beyond belief, so if pepe wants to spoil his wife with a fancy handbag, who are we to judge?

How can she(or anyone) honestly justify spending so much on a bag?? Pepe looks lovely as always though, and they are a great couple!!!

  5. FiFi says:

Huge fan of them! She strikes me as one of the few WAGs who I can believe simply got the bag as a birthday present or a Christmas present, not a oh-well-seeing-as-Alex-Curran-has-one-present, but maybe I'm alone in that :)

  6. Pam says:

1250 pounds for a bag?! That sum can feed many under-privileged children! Agree with Blitzen, I don't see a point in her bag or your post!

lol, it can pay like 2 – 5 house rents for some people ^_^x.

    • con2e says:

I doubt her children will go hungry or she'll lose her house because of her spending choices! What's your point?

      • Pam says:

My point was _not_ that her children would go hungry. My point was that it is NOT news that she has an expensive bag. Now, if she had donated the money to needy, _that_ would have been news!

She has every right to buy what she wants or how much she spends on it. But that doesn't mean it merits news or that I have to get excited about it.

    • rossanera says:

I see your point, but they have the money, why not spend it? How many underprivileged children have you fed this year, may I ask? If you have an internet connection and a computer, you're already financially and materially better-off than most of the world's population.

      • Pam says:

I have done my part in donating to charities every year since I started earning. If I see someone spending an exorbitant amount for some trifle, I voice my opinion. If you don't like my opinion, you can also voice your opinion (as you have) :)

As for my point, see my response to con2e's post below.

They are a fabulous looking couple, I must say.

Sorry, I just can't get excited about an overpriced piece of leather. I honestly don't see the point of it.

Pepe Reina looks delish, though, and they make a lovely couple.
