There was definitely some making out on the pitch after that hat trick. Or something. ;)

    Great match! Well done, Spain!

Oh my.. Cesc looks quite magnificent. Praise God for the Euro.

  7. Erin says:

Cesc and Xabi did play, they just didn't start. Cesc came on mid-way through the first half for Torres, and Xabi came on just at the very end. Don't worry…playing a match every four days means that starters will most likely rotate. They'll get their share of playing time I think.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT CESC AND XABI DIDN'T PLAY!Such hotness on the bench!Oh but I have to say that Iker looked stunning as always and I'm warming on David Villa. Ole!

Oh well at least Cesc has made it on – at the expense of Nando though!!

My office server isn’t letting me log on to a stream, so I’m trying to follow on BBC. Not the same without the visuals.

That was a great first match for Spain. David Villa’s hat trick was amazing and I was all giddy when he ran over to Nando to celebrate his last goal. I was surprised Xabi didn’t get a start but hopefully he will in the next match.
